Prepare to teach yourself with no curve. 65% of my ENG class either failed or got C's in the class. Test average was a C in class of 60+. Lectures often went off track of necessary material and were not thorough enough to cover the entire test

Attendance counts (5%) but for good reason, the material IS difficult. However, he is a decent professor. There's ample amount of things to get points in for his class. There are about 5 quizzes and 6 homeworks. There is also a 2 part project and a bonus for the project as well. The exams are fair though and his accent is great

This class is very challenging especially for someone without previous programming experience. There is only two tests in the class. One on python and one on matlab worth 70 percent of your grade and are both quite hard so don't mess up the tests. Other classes received practice tests and were much more prepared for the midterm than our class was.

Gives great lectures! He gives history to some of the commands and why they are how they are. Very responsive to emails and canvas messages. Only gives a few homework assignments over the semester. Most of your grade is based on the midterm and the final which can be pretty tough, but if you pay attention you should do well.

Dr. Jovanov is extremely knowledgeable in and knows the material inside and out. Problem is that this is an introductory course and he expects you to be a professional coder for exams. The two exams are the Matlab and Python, and worth 70% of final grade. Fail these and you fail the class. I like him, but class is far too hard for an "Intro" class

Among all ENG 101 instructors I'm very glad to have had him. He genuinely cares whether or not you understand the material and is always willing to assist you. Everything covered in class will be on the exam. The midterm is Matlab and was difficult. The average was a 77. However, he provided extra credit. The final exam is python and was easier.

The material that was covered was difficult. However, Dr. Jovanov encouraged you to ask questions, and always answered them the best way he could. He would make sure you understood and your question was answered before moving on. He was also available though email, and was quick to respond. I would definitely take him again given the chance.

This class requires a lot of work however he has good justification for the level of work which he openly tells you at the beginning of the semester. The professor is an amazing professor and the class is worth taking. But take this class by itself!

Helpful during office hours, though he likes to try to influence your design to his liking. Assignments are reasonable, though sometimes the requirements will change 24 hours before they are due. The material required for ABET is nearly useless, though necessary I suppose.

The class should be renamed to "Jovanov Design" (This is b/c you either do it his way or no way). He can be very helpful at times, and then he can be impossible to please. Shows far too much bias toward certain students, and he insessantly interrupts during presentations. Take Wells instead.

Helpful during office hours. Class material a bit hard to follow, he taught from a different book than we had. He provided some photocopies of examples. Still would have liked to have the same book since apperantly much better.

He has poor English skills, discriminated against distance learning students, referenced a book not accessible by the class for questions on final, and did not make requirements for the project clear.
