Comment:

Simply amazing. She is so helpful and you can tell she really cares about her students. She has so much knowledge concerning the language, but also concerning Russia as well. It's important to her and it reflects in her amazing teaching. If you are questioning whether or not to take her class, you definitely should.

Comment:

Dr. Johnson is extremely helpful, courteous, and kind! I have learned more from her than any other Russian professor at the Univeristy. She grades on a number of factors and will work hard with terrible students like myself. She expects you to pull your share of work, but it is always fair and she is pretty flexible. She can be very hyper though.

Comment:

Dr. Johnson is amazing. Funny, respectful of students, incredibly helpful, accommodating and reasonable. You'll learn much more than just Russian or literature in her classes. Assignments are reasonable but still require a fair amount of work. But it's worth it. I take her every semester, and never regret it.

Good teacher, but don't take this class if you don't want to do A LOT of reading. At least a 6-7 required texts plus a few optional ones. If you like to read, this is a good class.
