The lectures are long and they aren't posted on D2L taking notes is important, you'll need them to study for the essays. Online quizzes were easy, use the text book for help if needed. There's a pre test and final which are 2 in class essays each, a total of 4. Attend class and take advantage of the extra credit to help your grade.

Simply put. Do not take this class of you can help it. The class SHOULD be really interesting but it is not. All lecture, no discussion which I think would help this class a ton. Really though, this class is low key easy thehardest part is showing up to class everyday. If you decide to take this class, do not take it in the morning.

Lectures are boring and long, and you take about 3-4 pages of notes each day. The lecture slides are not available online so you must go to class. All tests are essays. She gives you 5 prompts and she will pick 2 for the exam. She is very picky on grading because she knows a lot about the subject and expects you to know the same amount as she does.

Knows what she is talking about, but lectures are very long and boring. Prepare to take about two pages of notes every day and expect the same, long, boring lecture every day. Weekly quizzes on d2l but I found all of the answers to be on different quizlet. Wouldn't buy the book, since the answers are online and she goes over test material in class.

She was an okay professor. I think her lectures are extremely long and dry. She tends to ramble on and it's hard to decipher what she is trying to say. She does off extra credit on many occasions. However she knows her stuff and knows what she is talking about.

Brilliant teacher. She blows you away with the amount of knowledge she has on the subject and is extremely well spoken. She has high expectations for her students and wants participation each class even if it is minimal. I learned so much from her and the assignments she gave, but expect to put in a lot of work and do not skip class!

She completes the whole book that she wrote herself throughout the semester. She knows a lot about Anthropology. The class is known as Introduction to Anthropology but she teaches as if she's teaching a Phd student. Exams are tough. No MCQs. Have to write two essays in each exam. Although she gives essay title options.

This class was super boring with her. Lectures are very long and boring. She is a very tough grader especially on test that are written. She knows her stuff very well. She does respond to emails very efficiently . She takes attendance every day. don't really need textbook but good item to have for test. There are weekly quizzes answers online

I would not recommend taking her class for a general or diversity course. She grades very strict on her exams (essays) and makes you work hard. Her lectures are super long and boring. She also speak very fast so it's hard to catch what she says most of the time.

Weekly quizzes but don't worry, if you copy and paste they are all online. So you don't even really need the book. Lectures are loooonnnggggg. She is very smart and knows what she's talking about so when it comes to final exams which are two essays, she's super tough on grading

Really interesting class in general, classes can be dull at times but also interesting. Her lectures are long and can be a bore. There are little quizzes weekly about the reading, nothing horrible. She gives you three exams, all are essays, but you get a study guide. Fair grader, do the work and get the good grade.

Took this class, showed up every day and still barely passed the class. Her quiz's are easy if you have the book handy. Her tests are ridiculous though, she grades like the kids are supposed to know this stuff from a young age.. Its a Intro class not a masters program. Very hard class would say stay clear or be prepared to work your butt off!!

She is very intelligent on the subject, which makes me feel like she expects a lot from her students. If you are dedicated to the subject, take the class and you should get an A. If you are doing it for generals or an elective, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT. Class average for her exams was around a D- each time when I took it.

Quizzes are all online and open book. She takes attendance every day. 3 exams that consist of writing two 1000 word essays in about an hour and a half! She does give you the essay topics about a week before so you have plenty of time to write an outline for an essay but be prepared to write for over an hour non stop. Easy class if you take notes.

Quizzes are online, very easy if you take your time and use the book. Exams are essay exams, which are very hard if you have a bad memory, however she allows you to type drafts and she will tell you what your doing wrong which helped a lot! Great teacher though, she is very knowledgeable!

She's passionate about the subject and very knowledgeable. Classes are lecture so it's not the best style for someone talkative and creative like me, but still a good class. Learned alot, mostly in applying what I learned to other aspects of my life and education. She's great to converse with and for help. Decent grader.

One of the harder 100 level classes I have taken. She has a very extensive knowledge on the subject, and her lectures are very detailed. It is important to actually go to class and pay attention during the lectures. Otherwise you will NOT get a good grade in this class.
