I'm not a math person, but Dr. Shores made Math Reasoning the best math class I've ever had. She is great at explaining concepts to people who don't just automatically understand math. She's also very nice and does her best to answer people's questions.

Great teacher! I practically lived in her office getting help, which paid off tremendously. I'm sad to see her leave the U of A to go teach high school, but I'm happy she's doing what she thinks is best. I would have taken her for any other math I needed to take in a heartbeat.

Great teacher! If you pay attention and keep up with the notes, it's a breeze. She is great with working with you if you need it. Definitely recommend her as a teacher, makes math somewhat fun! If you don't like math, then I advise taking this class over others. Mathematical Reasoning is very easy, and some stuff very interesting.

(Honors Section) This was a very difficult class; Dr. Shores definitely makes you earn your grade. That said, she was a phenomenal teacher, and I am so glad I took her class. She is very approachable, and she has a genuine concern for her students.

Obviously if you take this class you are not too excited about Math. Perfect! This lady teaches Math like it's a foreign language; SLOW & EASY. Homework is not mandatory but DO IT. That's why I didn't get an A. There is no reason to not Ace this class. It is easier than Algebra I in my opinion. Shores is very down-to-earth, kind, laid-back.

She is a very good teacher and explains things well. She is very hard though. All her tests were ridiculously harder than the common midterm or final. I feel like I understand the material better b/c of her teaching and hard tests but it sucked at the time.

I would say that she is definitely nice--but niceness can only get you so far. She contradicts herself in class and also treats people a little unfairly. She told me I could make up a quiz and then later told me I couldn't. I'd recommend her for Math Reasoning b/c I'm sure the other prof's are harder.

Dr. Shores is an AMAZING teacher. The material is tough, especially taking it in the summer, however Dr. Shores does a great job with explaning the material. She is very clear, and truly wants her students to succeed. If you must take this class, Dr. Shores is the professor to take!
