Ok, I never really had Emily as a professor, but I've known her for years. And, yes, she is a genious, and she is moody. Treat her with respect, and never argue with her unless you have a few hours to spare. She's a great woman, and even though she is new to this, she probably knows her stuff better than anyone.

I took her class about a year ago and I think the last few comments very not only inaccurate but unfair. Ms. Walsh urged students to THINK, something most students do not like to do. As for experience, anyone who had really talked to her would know she had been in speech and debate nearly a decade.

Emily is very immature as a teacher. She always comes in late for class and sometimes misses them without warning. It might seem as a blowoff class, but when the tests come around, you'll be screwed. Take somebody else!

She's great! Really nice, helpful, and very funny (if you like corny jokes). The tests suck, but they're department wide so there's nothing she can do about them. I've enjoyed this class and I HATE public speaking.

I think people confuse her humor and niceness as being 'scatterbrained'. I'd say 99% of the class enjoys her and appreciates how she treats her students. She's even met students at IHOP to help-out in study groups. What more can you ask for?

She's really nice and expects you to learn. She makes you accountable for your own grade. Seems flaky at times, but she really is 'with it'. She goes out of her way to meet with students to help with an assignment or just to talk.
