He's a good teacher-real laid back and friendly. I did not find him ethnocentric or condescending at all, though I do disagree with some of his assertions. He covers a few topic that you need to include in the papers, but it's real easy to bs your way to an A. I would recommend his class for the Ethnic Studies requirement

i really didn't pick up any ethnocentrism from him. some of the subject matter was a bit over my head, but he doesn't lack enthusiasm or knowledge. he's down-to-earth and friendly and his lectures were participatory without relying on students to teach.

Salmon rocks! His class is awesome! Instead of lecturing at the class like most profs, he actually sits down with us and has group discussions on most of the material. Great sense of humor as well. Great fun
