Barth is a prof that loves his job. He makes lectures easy to listen to and never makes you feel dumb when you respond, even when you're completely wrong. He gives timely feedback, is available for office hours, and wants his students to succeed. Practice exam questions are extremely helpful for the exams.

For a student that was nervous to take a statistics class, he really prepared us and engaged us to know the material. We always knew what was expected out of us and what material was on the exams.

Dr. Barth is always entertaining and interesting. He keeps students involved with his unique lectures. In 112, he does not call on students selectively, he prints a list of students in random order to call on to help solve a problem. Attendance is mandatory, but I promise that you will not find it difficult to go to his classes. Great Professor!

If you are Asian in an introductory class, expect to be asked more often than others! :) I don't really understand his jokes, but people laugh so I guess he's funny. He tries to help you understand, but spends to much time on homework review. Organized syllabus.

Barth is an excellent Prof. and human being. Seriously, he's so good at making complicated math interesting and fun. He's never condescending, no matter how mathematically ignorant you are. Dr. Barth does an excellent job explaining new mathematical concepts and providing extra help, like codes for doing work in R. He allowed us to use our laptops and books for exams, which I found a little disheartening because it didn't reward those who worked the hardest and studied the most. Nonetheless, he is a great professor.

He's the best Math Professor ever. I had for an 8:30am class and even though I hate waking up early in the morning, his classes were so lively that it was worth it!! With Professor Barth every class is AWESOME and every math problem is made simpler!
