One of my favorite teachers at RMU! He always finds a way to make history interesting. The grade you get depends on what you put into the class. Doesn't make you remember dates or actual names, just the gist of the knowledge. I would take him again if need be, textbook never used. Take him if possible!

GREAT GUY IN GENERAL AND TEACHER! This history class was never boring! He doesn't teach people and dates but themes and why things happened they way they did. There was no homework or essays, so make sure you study and read for the quizzes and tests. Most of his questions come from his notes, so make sure you go to class, or you will be lost!

American National Government was my third class with Mr. Duchess and I would reccomend him to any student at RMU. He is one of the best teachers I have ever had at any level. He is very knowlegeable and interesting. You will learn, laugh, and think more independently after taking his classes.

i can not even put into words how awesome of a guy professor duchess is..he's brilliant but he brings everything down to your level. he also does not favor one political side, which is a big bonus because there is no bias in his teachings!

definetly the best teacher i've had. he knows his history AND he enjoys teaching it. only 3 tests for grades in the class but just study the notes, he gives good ones! definetly take him if you have to take a history, or even if you don't take him anyway bc he's an awesome teacher
