Very interesting lectures, will repeat if needed and answers questions after class. If you understand the material it'll be quite easy, but be aware to angle your answers on Lewis' perspective and interpretation of the Presocratics as given during lectures.

Anyone who hates Lewis has no sense of humour. He's brilliant, chill, funny, and a rockin' feminist. Easy class, too.

Fantastic professor - knows his stuff and makes the lectures interesting to the point where you look forward to class. Very little work required and definitely one of the easiest classes, even at the 300 level. Very approachable and friendly at office hours. Absolutely recommend.

Such a nice guy. Love shooting the**** with him. He's got an interesting life if you care to ask. As for work, it's a fair class. 3 quizzes, a term paper and final. One textbook, not a lot of reading. Who can complain! Just come to class and take notes. Seriously. TAKE GOOD NOTES.

Prof. Lewis is a great, engaging professor. I had almost no prior interest in the material and found myself looking forward to his classes. The grading was fair (the quizzes are a cinch if you come to classes and read through your notes before). I would definitely take another of his classes!

Not as bad as people make him out to be, kinda have to take him with a grain of salt. His lectures feel like hes reading a speech instead of teaching a class. Grades were fair and the overall workload was good as well. He can be condescending and he never once replied to my e-mails. Overall the material more than made up for the professor.

Very excellent professor. He's a secret Struassian (now he's out!). Ask him about "the political theological problem" to get him going.

Unlike the other reviewers, i found Prof Lewis to be very helpful and friendly. I remember meeting with him for a term paper proposal, and we spent 30 minutes checking out cool NYC jazz clubs on the internet. Six years later, I can still recall Zeno's three paradoxes and Cantor's proof for the countability of rational numbers, thanks to his methods

This is an exceptional human being, if you're reading this Eric, I adore you. I was totally perplexed that a lot of people found him unfriendly, to me he was the friendliest of people. He's kind and good-natured. I am 100% convinced that the majority of people loved him but they didn't rate him here

Good class. And it's funny when he laughs at the stupid people. As long as you're not talking just to hear the sound of your own voice, he'll listen.

Eric Lewis, although coy and cocky, is a great prof. He knows what he's talking about and loves it all. He loves jazz too and that's awsome. I would die to take his philosophy of music course... mmmm... someday... someday...

This course should be retitled "presocratic philosophy - according to Eric Lewis" If you don't understand his take on "what they really meant" don't expect him to repeat it without rolling his eyes, and attempting to confuse you furth

This ugy is the most self-centered, self-loving professor in the world. He thinks he is better than everyone else on the planet and makes this know to everyone. No respect for the students and uses them to make him look smart.
