Dr. Westlund is very good at teaching the material in this class. His tests, however, are very difficult. Make sure you know EVERYTHING he lays out in his pre-test lectures. Since his tests are only out of 50, one mistake can be the difference between an 'A' and a 'B'. Study a lot and pay attention to his lectures (they're really helpful).

Great teacher, really knows his stuff and for the most part is very clear. His tests are challenging and really test your knowledge of the material. If you know the material pretty well the tests aren't too bad, but can be very frustrating if your unclear on some of the material. Overall a terrific professor

Very intelligent man; loves distracting himself in lecture with the historical basis of various formulas and "mathematician drama". Must seek help one-on-one in order to truly appreciate how helpful he is; comes off as kind of distant in class. Extremely difficult exams; the saving grace is that they are graded on a "nice" curve. Excellent prof.
