Oliver Larkin is a genius. He may come off as a little odd to the closed minded, but I think he is a great teacher with a fascinating perspective and mind. The class I took was easy, and he was willing to help out students who fell behind. I would definitely recommend taking a class with Oliver sometime

I didn't like his class. Very confusing and hard to follow. Got pretty boring. Managed to throw in random things that were so dumb sounding they were funny. Take home tests were pretty tough, but doable. I stopped goin to class because it didn't help me, I fell asleep during class a lot and was only 5 points off an a, missed attendance points

easy easy easy! he hands out extra credit randomally and in abundance. ALL of the test are take home, easy, just busy work...most answers are directly in the book. he's brilliant! knows many interesting facts, and will educate you beyond just western civ. i highly recommend.

Never asked about sex lives, only our morals. He knows a LOT about marriage, relationships, and life. Obviosly if you are uncomfortable with yourself you'd think he's "sick" well he's a therapist so get over it. To take this class you must be open minded, you get out of it what you put in. The most helpful and interesting class I have ever taken!

Asked us about how we felt about our parents having sex. Asked us if we are sexually involved with someone. Marriage & family is just about sex. Just a warning.....stay away!

He is sick. A lot of his lectures were full of rambling on about his experiences as a marriage counselor. He knows a lot, but has problems. If you are uncomfortable with yourself at all, avoid his classes. He asks personal questions and expects vivid answers. Tests weren't hard.

Exams were take home when I took the class. Oliver should be on Jeopardy with all of the tidbits of trivia he spits out. It seems like he knows something about everything and he made the class very interesting. I loved the history of the dirty finger. A clever and witty fellow and I can very easily recommend to take a class with him!

Tests are right out of the book take home for the most part, has a deep breadth of knowledge on humanities and translates some examples to current events, psychology background, tells own theories which are cool, but dont worry you dont always have to listen

This class was very interesting. His experience as a marriage counselor is helpful for the course. Get used to his example of "dirty socks on the floor." Make eye contact and nod. If you do not like group work, I suggest you find another professor.

he is very easy if u can put up with his **** comments. his tests are a group effort with u'r table so u pretty much always do good on them. no books on tests but u can use notes.

His tests are usually based on his lectures so all you have to do is listen in class and take few notes. In some cases he could be alittle more clear other than that if you ask him for help he will help you.
