Spjut is a great professor for E80. Definitely the most knowledgeable of the E80 profs this year. He has a passion for rocketry and is willing to spread that passion. He will do anything to make sure that the students have a positive rocketry experience.

He is probably good at teaching higher level courses and he is definitely smart, but he has no competency at teaching intro-level courses. I didn't learn anything from lecture or recitation. I think he and the other stems profs expect us to know more before this class, which we don't.

Spjut is awesome. He teaches tech electives differently than materials; he's lecturing the whole time. His tests are open book, open notes which helps simulate real life. And he doesn't grade too harshly, giving lots of partial credit. He's also one of the smartest people, ever.
