Comment:

For every class, you read a text and then discuss the material in class. That part is actually fun. However, the tests and essays are extremely hard, because she is very nit-picky on grading. Show up to class, participate, and write exceptionally eloquent essays and you will do fine. Also, Sparknotes is your best friend for understanding the texts.

I had Dr. Campbell for English 1101. She was very clear as to what was expected out of our essays. As long as you pay attention and try your best, you should be fine. She is very nice and enjoyable to learn from. There was a lot of peer response involved.

GREAT teacher, this class was very fun & interesting, make sure to pay attention to the advice she gives on essays after peer response groups sessions, she gives her students plenty of time to do essays the only bad part about the class is the response papers, they are due every class time. I came out with an B

Dr. Campbell is very funny and extremely passionate about what she teaches. These combined make the class really interesting and engaging. Be prepared to do lots of reading and have daily quizzes though.

As long as you read the texts (sometimes just summaries will get you by, but I wouldn't advocate it) and show up to class you should make it out with an A. She's funny and very nice, but sometimes it felt like we spent forever talking about nothing. There were quizzes almost daily, but they're not over reading comprehension so they weren't hard.

The best teacher ever!! She is very funny and her classes are enjoyable! She is clear on what she wants and if you do everything she asks you should get a good grade. Also make sure you do all the response papers (which arent hard at all) and you will be fine. She will also answer all your questions and you will never feel like a question is dumb.

She is one of the best teachers I have ever had. She explains things in depth and gives all the help she can to make sure that you are not confused. She likes to have class discussions so just make sure you do the reading and all of the assignments she gives and speak up in class and you will do great.I definitely recommend her!

One of the BEST teachers i have ever had. i moved to another school and still am going on abacs website to say how good she is. Do the essays. Page length is a big deal. She makes things crystal clear. Just talk in class. You will do fine!

I found her class disorganized. She assigns things not on her syllabus the day before they are due, and most content necessary to complete assignments is not accessible to any of her students. Horrible revision guidelines. I recommend against taking her - you will regret it.

For those students who have an open mind and enjoy learning, Dr. Campbell is very realistic and enjoyable. English happens to not be my favorite subject however I have really enjoyed this class. If you're personally not on your A game....plan to be confused. She'll know who you are. If you enjoy learning, take her.
