I took orgo with Pelkey years ago and I still remember how organized, clear, and funny he was. Taking orgo with him inspired me to go to grad school for chemistry and become a chemistry teacher myself. This man seriously changed my life :)

Pelkey is the man. Hands down the best professor i have encountered at HWS. He takes a subjesct as impossible as orgo and makes it easy and understandable. Definatly if given the option take pelkey's class. Lectures are entertaining and extrem ely clear and understandable. Not to mention he's pretty sexy in a chem teacher sort of way... :-P

Don't take orgo with him if you plan on moving on to orgo with Miller. Stick with him all the way through or you will be soooo lost. He is a lot easier than miller.

Best prof out there. As a bio major I didn't want to take orgo, but after a year with Pelkey I decided to take a THIRD semester of orgo for FUN. That is how good he is. He puts more work into his class than any professor at HWS.

Organic Chem with Pelkey is the most well taught class I have ever taken! I never thought I would enjoy it as much as I did with him as my professor. If you're taking chem 240/241 with Pelkey you are extreamly lucky.
