I had a very difficult time in his class due to health issues and absences, but I plugged away chapter by chapter and made it. Frau Duby is lovely. Her handwriting is extremely difficult to read, but she cares about the students and the learning curve languages present.

Sweetest lady ever! Sometimes is hard to learn from all she does is read out of the book and makes you study vocab though. The class is fun at times but the tests can be hard.

Like others have said, she's a very nice lady, but learning German in her class is a pain. The class itself can be fun, but that's it. We just read from the book with no visual help such as charts, stories, or exercises. It made me lose some interest in attending class and think on skipping German III if I had to have this professor again.

she was very understanding but its all from the book no viedos or even audio she wrote on the board but i hope you can read it. she was a sweet lady but watch what you say she tends to tell the class your business

Sweet lady but poor teacher. She reads the textbook to/with the class. That's it -- no mixing exercises, no review of homework, no going to the board. (You can read the book by yourself and still pass. Plus, she lets students talk over her. I won't be back for more.

I wish I was in the classes the other comments came from. I'm a visual learner and unlike Brussle, she barely wrote anything on the board. She just stands at the front of the room with her textbook. When asked for help, she'd sigh. One night she asked "Am I speaking French?" I wanted to be a German major and she ruined that for me!

One of the best Professors around. She makes the class fun & enjoyable. Frau Duby is extremely helpful and enthusiastic about the subject. Yes, she loves her job! She involves the class and makes sure they understand material. She will help you if you have any problems. Too bad she is not teaching German 250/German III.
