Comment:

As someone who hates math, Mr. Walker makes math enjoyable. He really cares and tries to make it relatable to life. He does not post lectures online so it is important to attend class. His homework is a mixture of paper and online but there is not a ton of it. His exams are straight forward and he gives a really nice test map. He's like a nerdy dad

I am someone who is terrible at math, and I think Professor Walker really put compassion into teaching. I thought he explained things really well in class, and even better if you went to his office hours. He is dedicated to your learning. I recommend taking Professor Walker.

Mr. Walker was very strict with cell phones as well as having food and beverages in his classroom. Nice guy, but doesn't cut you any slack.

If you are not a good test taker do not take this professor. He gives four tests all semester and maybe 6 homework assignments. He does not give a syllabus or use D2l/ moodle. If you go to see him during his office hours for help, he will not answer your questions straightforward. He covers a lot during class and will not go into detail.

Very nice guy, in a way kind of cocky about how smart he is at times. But, very good professor and spells out the basics of stats to make it pretty understandable. Not too much homework or tests, but he grades them tough when you do have them. You get a whole piece of paper for notes to use on exams. Overall he cares about student's performances.

Professor Walker is a tough grader and will take off many points for a small error. I rarely felt prepared for tests and taught a lot to myself outside of the classroom. He doesn't offer many buffer assignments to the exams so if you do poorly on them they will cover most of your grade. He is not very clear during his lectures, and often rambles.

Prob & Stats is typically a difficult and important class. I took prob & stats my senior year and learned more in that class than I did with prof walker. For the first 3 weeks all we looked at was charts about baseball and basketball. Horrible professor

Absolutely the worst professor i ever had. Even if you try your hardest he will not work with you to improve your grade and does not care about his students success. I do not reccomends him at all.

I have to withdraw from this class because it's SO difficult. There's no saving my grade. Dr. Walker seems like a very nice man, but his teaching method isn't for me. Lectures are very dry & confusing. He doesn't explain anything. I had never taken stats before, & I felt like he expected us to know everything about it. I don't recommend him at all.

Ernie isn't that great. He loses focus a lot and talks about stuff that is math related but over all useless. He gives no credit if you show no work even if the answer is right. it is pretty easy material if you know what you are doing though.

WORST TEACHER I HAD!!! His class is easily the most boring class I have ever had. His exams are terrible, he tries to trick you when it comes to his exams and is then unwilling to help you after the exam is returned. He stands up there and rambles about his life more than anything. Avoid him at all costs.

DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. His exams are impossible, and other than exam, there are only 4 grades asignments, so good luck if you do bad on the exam. He does not care about the students and takes points off on exams for dumb reasons. Class is extremely boring.

His class was definitely not one of my favorites. He rarely gives graded homework, which may seem like a good thing, but makes students unprepared for his tests. He has 4 tests & weights the highest test grade (unless it's the 1st test). Often he comes into class unprepared with notes, and he definitely rambles about sports a lot.

Avoid this professor if possible. No homework may sound like a good thing, but if you learn through homework, he collected little for points. I got 100% on every homework he did assign but then the questions on the test were way harder. He is not very clear. Avoid!

He is a pretty cool teacher. I would recommend him because he gives out good examples during class and as long as you pay attention you should be fine. Tests though are relatively easy just be careful because you will lose more points then you would think on little things.
