This class is really easy if you just do everything you're supposed to do but she isn't very clear about what the assignment might be. Estelle made a girl in my class cry and was kind of a savage. Not hard class she just expects completed work.

I believed that she was a good professor. Some other students had some problems with her and her respecting kids. Gives quizzes and tests which I think is not needed for public speaking and they are not easy. Grading for the speeches isn't bad at all.

Estelle wenson was meh. She graded the outlines hard and commented on your presentations right after you go. 3 quizzes they were very confusing but dont count for a lot of the grade. 4 speeches in total. Overall wouldnt take her again but you will do good if you are good at public speaking.

Professor Wenson had clear grading criteria and we were graded on a few quizzes and our in-class speeches and outlines and one short paper. If you do the work and put in effort, her class is a breeze.

Very helpful teacher! I took her for Public Speaking and she really helped me. She is clear about what she wants you to do and you will be better for it. You give about 4 or 5 speeches in the semester with a few quizzes mixed in. Easy class. Put in the effort and you will do just fine! Very nice teacher.

Very sweet lady, always there to help you with your speeches. Show up on time you can potentially get extra credit. Grades fairly, do what she says, and do the work and you'll be fine.

2 exams on stuff not covered, 3 Online Quizzes, 2 formal speeches, 1 informal, and 1 group, 3-6 pg paper, and 14-16 hours of community service that NONE of the other COMM 130 Professors require. Seems nice but extremely inflexible. Treats students like 6 yr olds. Her system is law and everything must fit into her fancy little box. Don't take her.

Wenson is a very sweet lady and will always help you if you ask. She goes a bit to fast when it comes to notes but luckily all her powerpoints are online, so dont bother taking notes. Yes, the community service project is kind of a pain but its not hard and neither are the speeches, if you follow the outlines she gives you, you will get an A.

Profesor Wenson is a nice lady once you get to know her. The class seems like a handful until you complete your first speech, but after that its ok. Sometimes she is a bit unclear so you must be sure to ask questions. Community service is a pain so I would be careful when considering the class. Overall,her class isn't that bad, but requires effort

Run away, Quiz questions are completely obscure and have nothing to do with notes, same with tests. The study guide is atrocious. You have to do two speeches and you will get a B or C regardless, unless you're retarded. You -have- to do community service and it's worth almost more then half of all your grades. Avoid at all costs.

She is a fairly nice woman but takes the class SO seriously. You only have to do 2 speeches but she is very picky. Also the quizzes are on blackboard and she drops one but the questions are impossible and have nothing to do with the notes you took. You have to do a community serice project unlike any other class. Take another teacher!

She was a horrible teacher. Her test questions made absolutely not sense and she is a very rude lady when it comes to the speeches. She interrupts when you are making your speech (in front of the whole class). The community service was a joke. I have no idea what that has to do with communications. I do NOT recommend her.

Worst teacher ever. Very unclear...2 speeches and a community service project plus 2 tests. Tests don't use anything from the notes and she only goes over things not on the test so be prepared to fail them. Online quizzes that don't make sense. She's terrible at teaching do not take the course.

The subject material was extremely easy, but her teaching style was horrible. Test questions are obscure and we maybe went over the material once quickly. Talks to us like we are in preschool and isn't a very helpful teacher. Not much work in this class, but she is very unclear. Do not take her class if you value your GPA.
