Professor Williams is a really nice guy, but his classes are rather difficult. However, I enjoy being challenged every day to improve myself and think critically. Many people on here have said that you teach yourself, but Professor Williams is willing to help anyone who asks questions. He wants to challenge his students and I enjoyed the challenge.

Honestly. Terrible. You're pretty much on your own to learn everything. With mainly physics majors in my class he breezes by material and pretty much leaves anyone that doesn't get it behind in the dirt. Don't bother.

Nice guy but difficult class. He goes through the chapters quickly and it's hard to understand. Labs are easy to do but hard to understand with the worksheets given. Not much helpful feedback in my opinion. Homework and test questions are different difficulty levels. Unless you're already familiar with physics concepts you should try another.

This guy is very difficult. Doesn't seem like a mean guy (I took a class online), but he is too smart to realize how difficult he makes his class. Taking an introductory 100-level course as a CORE requirement, he expects anyone to catch up with his doctorate-level knowledge like nothing. His concepts and questions are ridiculous. Pass on him.

Usually he wears pink shirts to class. Sort of a weird guy, but a great teacher overall (when he is sober). Just be sure to bring gloves to his labs. None of the equipment is labeled so many students get shocked. Those who survive get decent grades.

Great professor. Easy going and jokes around a lot. Really knows the subject. Four exams and a final, where he'll make sure you re-do each problem you got incorrect so that you'll understand it. Overall, I'd take him again. Great semester!

Nice guy. Bad teacher. Test problems are much harder than book problems. He assigns very basic book and internet problems that are far from what he gives on the exam. Without anyone teaching you how to do exam problems you are left to figure it out with what you know which isnt helpful at all. Teachers should prepare you for what will be on exam.

I like his personality in class, he is a very fun guy. His tests are to tricky. I study the problems that he asks us to do, and I read the chapters multiple times. However, when I go in to take his tests, I feel as though I had never seen the material before. The problems he assigns a very differnet from the ones he puts on the tests.

The math dprtmnt should take some of the blame for the failure of its math students taking physics. How about, instead of all the wonderful math teachers giving half the class As each class, they actually train the students to think and solve complex problems. It's like a permissive mother getting mad that others do not tolerate her spoiled brats;)

Nice guy. Physics has a 50% drop/fail rate anyway, but I don't think his teaching style helps most students. Whatever you learn will come from you text, not the lectures. Wish I had the chance to take Kling instead. Williams himself admitted that his classes exam scores are way below Kling's even though same level of difficulty.

Awful. If you don't need the course, don't take him. If you do need the course, suck it up and bear it - It's going to be bad. Doesn't explain things clearly; tests are ridiculous; he's too smart - he can't explain himself; fails the whole class and blames it on them. Just a bad teacher. Laughs when the class fails.

This guy knows what he is doing. The tests are fair, they definitely make you think but it happens or should happen in each class. I don't much care what others say on you shouldn't take him. If you want a challenge and have fun all at once take him. The tests are fine, just study.

Physics is a tough subject in general, so anyone expecting an easy A is in for a rude awakening. Tests are tough but fair, and overall he's a good teacher. Expect to atted all classes to keep up, but it's not so bad since he's weird which makes the class fun.

I don't see why everyone hates on him so much. The material is difficult, but he knows his stuff, and he's an entertaining guy, so the class flies by. There's not much room for error, but if the whole class is struggling, he's been known to adjust the grading accordingly. Keep up with the work and you'll enjoy his class.
