Sra. Tejeda is very knowledable about Spanish, including grammar, etc. HUGE amounts of homework in SPAN 103: more than I had for any 400-level course. Problem: she admits that her vocab tests are geared towards memorization of weekly words, rather than actual knowledge/learning of Spanish, but won't change them.

Ester was fantastic! Yes, the course was very assignment heavy and you had to be prepared before each class, but as a prof, she was very funny and engaging. She'll call on you to answer questions, which I found kind of nerve wracking but it really did make me grow! I didn't expect to improve in this course as much as I did. Thanks Ester!

Have her as a coordinator.She is probably the worst coordinator out there. We are currently watching a movie that we have to present about,there is nothing wrong with the movie, the point is that we aren't done with the movie, and she expects us have a presentation about it... Never taking class with her again. She is useless when you email her.

I didn't have Ester as my teacher, but she was the prof who coordinated my class. She was extremely disorganized, her tests were too difficult and explanations of assignments were vague and her e-mails weren't any better. I would not recommend taking any class with her name on it. I went into the year loving Spanish classes and left it hating them.

I took both SPAN 102&103 wih Ester and must say that as a person who have always liked to learn Italian, I never thought I would fall in love with the Spanish language. Ester's excellent attitude and enthusiasm, and her fun-yet-serious approach proved otherwise. She does her best to make sure students have actually learned the material.

Quizes are online, which is bogus as heck, and the oral exam is only worth 10%. No curving, no partial marks and computer graded quizes is a joke for a language class. This class was the death of me! I also took it as a GPA booster and considered myself to be a master of Spanish. You HAVE to be prepared when you come to this class, you review homework in class and if you don't speak or answer questions you will do poorly. Computer tests were very difficult and quizes every week

Be honest, she is great! But she is way too demanding. Her computer quizzes can drive you crazy at the end. But, she is a super "grade-A" teacher with a good heart unlike someone in her next door office. and you know who.... hahaha We even had dinner with her at the end of this semester.

first of all, the class is not easy. you have to prepare before everyclass. i took this class as a gpa booster, but i got the lowest mark out of all mine. but ester is a really nice person. she cares about you and wants u to do well in the course. she brought us brownies crackers cheese cookies for the last class. best prof ever!

Ester is a great prof and extremely nice, just don't fight with her and don't try to get sympathy. She is tough and stubborn so if you want her appreciation, STUDY! This was the most fun I've had in a class ever. The entire class (22 students) was SO tight by the end and we all took Ester out to dinner. The class ain't easy though, so read the book

she expects A LOT! we have 25 students in our class and 20 of us prepare in advance for the class. she explains things clear but she is VERY PICKY. spelling marks dedcuted even if your answer is 100% correct. she talks very fast as if we should understand 100% of what she says when we've only taken a beginners class for 3 months!!

Ester is the coolest language prof around. She explains carefully what u need to get ahead in her course and marks fairly. she expects you to learn something and here "tareas" are not hard if you study and did well in previous spanish courses. I LOVE ESTER TEJEDA!!!
