He's not as bad as the poster below says. First of all, he's not the janitor, he's a project manager at JPL. Yes, he is vague about things, and is hard at times. But guess what? Your boss in the real world isn't going to draw you a picture and hold your hand. I'm in the industry already and he's closest to real life. Get used to it!

He knows what he wants...but isn't quite willing to tell you! A little frustrating, but he does give you quite a bit of real-world experience. Talks about his job often, but always in context of the material. Study the slides, do some online research for hw questions, and start on your project asap!

Yes I agree, he talks alot about his job. But who wouldn't when you're involved in a space project at JPL? The professor is good and his project is the closest thing to real world experience you'll do during the Computer Science program.

Hacopians is to CSUN as Gilderoy Lockhart is to Hogwarts. He'll put himself in a pedestal talking about his miracles at work, but you'll learn nothing. Exams are easy if you memorize his slides. Your group is on its own for the project. Grading is subjective; participate and don't contradict him.

If you pay attention and go over the slides before any test you will do fine. He brings in real world examples into class which help a lot. Tests are okay if you read the slides well. Tests are based off slides. Start as early as possible on project.

He is very clear as to what he wants, no surprises. Tests come out of his lectures which are all posted online. Hardest part was remembering to do the homework since they are already all posted online. Project is fairly large but you learn a lot. Pay attention and you'll do fine

Really good teacher and you walk out of the class with a lot of real world knowledge. The group project was a lot of fun. The people that did not do well were the people that did not spend much time on their group project. Do not take this class if you are not willing to spend time on the proj.
