I was really looking forward to this class, but then I couldn't wait for it to be over. The (5) assigned texts are interesting--and long. The (4) papers would have been better had they only been three pages. Classes are interesting but always go off topic, which gets old fast. Who wants to pay all that money to hear his life story?? Avoid him!!

Classes are great if you have even a remote interest in Philadelphia and/or politics. But the work load! There are 5 assigned texts (most of which are 300-400 pages), and 4 four-page essays based on the text. Very intense! No breaks during class but that measn you leave early.

Horrible teacher. These people who give him good comments obviously brown nosed him. I strongly advise you to try and stay away from this man. His lectures are more like rambles, essays are more like books reports(that one put hours of effort in and barely passed), and his obsession with Rizzo sickens me.

Lots of paper writing! Lots of reading. WIth that said, the guy knows what hes talking about. While the class is difficult, Halus is worth taking if you are willing to put in the effort and work.
