Great professor overall. Kept the lectures interesting with humor. The class might be a little slow at times, but this is normal given the nature of the subject (Ethics). Need to read the material or at least take very good notes and pay attention in class in order to pass.

Just a micro-exposition, two essays, and the final exam. Class discussions are interesting, and you dont have to fully understand the reading, he will go over it. Essays are tough, and he doesnt read drafts. He likes engagement, so come with questions. Hes funny too, but come with coffee if youre not used to long lectures.

Really awesome GE. Super funny professor - laughs at his own dad jokes. Pretty tough grader, and attendance is pretty mandatory, but if you come to class and pay attention, you can pass without reading the material

I liked Professor Heath--he's genuinely excited about his material and he really wants everyone to do well. I didn't like that he was a harsh grader and wasn't really clear on how to improve. I regret taking him at 9:30am because he is very lecture heavy and it got kind of boring.

Class is based on the philosophies of modern philosophers. Big downside is that for the majority of the semester we can't really analyze and give our own opinions on these philosophies. Tough grader.

The material can be hard to understand at times but he's very good at trying to answer any and all questions you're willing to ask. Very approachable and cares about what you have to say. He's always trying to lighten the mood and make everyone smile and is heavy on participation. Do the readings because he expects you to discuss what you think.

I was only taking this class for a general education credit and the worse decision I ever made. This class is impacting my high gpa. It was not worth it. He is a harsh grader and is not helpful. Lecture Heavy and confusing. DO NOT TAKE IF YOU DON'T LIKE PHILOSOPHY.

Heathe is a great Philosophy professor. He understands it's tough material and tries to make it as easy to understand as possible. Going in to office hours for help is very appreciated. The readings aren't necessary if you go to class and take notes.

One of the best professors at this school. I loved his teaching and the class in general. Definitely DO THE READINGS, the entire class is based upon analyzing them. DO participate even if you think you're wrong or are unsure of your opinion, it will show well upon you. His assignments are rough but they do not need to be long.

Prof Heath cares about his students, is very clear about expectations, extremely intelligent, and will make you a better writer and thinker. You have to work hard, pay attention, take good notes and read but it will pay off because you will be a better writer and thinker in the end. I worked so hard to get an A and felt very accomplished when I did

He is very funny and makes you actually want to go to class. If you don't understand the readings, don't worry he'll explain them the next day in class. He finds examples that are relatable to everyday life that can also make you laugh. He grades every assignment twice so he knows he is giving the most fair grade to each student. Would take again!

He's very funny and tries to get the class involved. However, students often take advantage of his easy-going character and are disrespectful. He doesn't reprimand students who show up late, which happens every class (and I'm in two with him!). He does assign papers, but they are easy if you do the readings. Just pay attention and you'll be fine.

This isn't the most interesting GE I've taken, but Heath made it manageable. He's a pretty fair grader, sometimes isn't so clear about the assignments though. Overall I would recommend taking his class, because he really loves what he does and really tries to make it interesting for non-majors.

Effort necessary to do well in this class. It's all lecture but her refers to the book and gives specific citations to what he's talking about making it easy to follow along. He also throws in jokes. Not an easy grader, but gives detailed feedback both on the paper and general corrections in class. Very open to questions. Remembers everyones names

He is one of the most genuine teachers I have ever met you get 6 excused absences and 3 unexcused and the books he chooses are great if you read or listen in class you will be able to get a good grade and actually really enjoy a class. Hysterical teacher uses the best examples for explaining philosophy. TAKE HIS CLASS

He's a good professor. The class if a little boring, but if you pay attention he explains the text and makes it very clear. You're allowed 6 unexcused absences. He's a fair grader. You'll have to work for your grade, but it's not necessarily hard.

Your grade comes from a one page reflection essay,a midterm,a ten page essay and a final. The midterm and final are two, two page essays that you have to write in class. He gives you the questions that will be on the midterm and final but he picks two questions out of 6 or so choices so you have to know the answer to all of them or pray. Read!
