Oh where do I begin... His teaching style is to read from "Supplementary Lecture Notes" that he copy-pasted from websites. His lectures are by far my worst lecture experience ever. Often late or absent with no notice. You have to teach yourself because he literally reads his lecture. Boring, but bearable if you know how to to study for the exam.

He shows up 10-15 minutes late most classes, and when he doesn't show up he does NOT notify you via email or the website. Gives out a million exam practice questions which he expects you to know in 2 days because he was so late in actually posting them. Not that it matters because 95% of them aren't covered in the exam anyways.

All the people hating in the prof clearly are the ones who fail. He is a very intelligent man, yes the lectures are boring but thats because its a boring course. He makes it fun and really makes you understand by "digesting" the work. Its an easy A, just attend class and do all his questions. Also go talk to him during the break or after class.

He doesn't know how to use a Computer, Don't expect any replies to any emails. If you have questions HUNT HIM DOWN, He wont reply to emails until 2 a.m. the night before class. He never taught a class larger than 15 students and it shows. He will give Quizzes, He says you must " Under Stand " All Lies, Memorize. Mostly you will learn on your own.

Very long lectures, takes forever to get to the point. He teaches a computer science course but doesn't know how to use a computer. Constantly says "lets take a break to digest the information", he wastes so much time. His notes and class website are very unorganized making it very hard to go over the notes later. I would not recommend his class.

I just finished ACS1803 last term, and I'm in ACS department. This course might get boring for some people because it's cover too many things. From DBMS to info system, from info system to accounting. But make sure you go to class, that's really help a lot! Reviewing material is really useful, exam are pretty easy. Assignments are helpful.

Was an upgrade when our usual prof left half way. Slow in presenting lectures and kind of boring, most likely due to the topic. Got information across well enough for most to understand.

He tends to stop the classes and insist you "really digest" what he's talking about. Understandably, this works for some learning styles, but it might be really difficult to get around for others. And, if you're impatient or have attention issues, you're gonna have a real hard time in his class. He tends to deliver lectures slow and deliberate.

This is a dry intro class but if you're an ACS student, it's essential. Prof. Kaluzniacky stresses the importance of not only memorizing and regurgitating the content but truly understanding it. The slides are abysmal but the info is there. He gives really good study questions which make getting an A relatively easy if you study.

The majority of bad ratings for this prof come from Business students who are forced to take this class. It's a dry course if you have no interest in computers. To the dismay of ACS students, programming examples were shown in COBOL or FORTRAN because they're easy to read when showing examples of what a developer does. Friendly and easy talk to..

A++ Professor: Class can be dry, however going to class is VERY beneficial. He is great at explaining and getting his point across. He is genuinely concerned with you "digesting" the material for the future. He CARES about you as a student and is more than willing to help you in whatever area you are having difficulty. His door is always open.

Really nice man who wants more than anything for you to do well and will help you whenever you need but lectures are AWFUL. Gives lots of study questions but tests are mostly short/long answer questions and require very specific written details. Frustrating lectures because he struggles with rotating a hand-drawn diagram in Word. :(

sooo boring!!!! yes it is an acs class. but he cant even use a computer! he scans old photocopied papers from the 70's into pdf files and hand writen notes you can't even read and expects you to learn off that. gives you like 200 practice questions and only a few are on the test. all questions are so detailed and he is looking for the smallest info

VERY BORING LECTURES!! This prof is very intelligent and very experiences in computer science, no doubt. He is helpful as to the material that is going to be tested on the exam and is a sub-par marker. Although you may fall asleep in this class 5-6 times per class. He is very nice though and seems very helpful.

Likewise, like the last comment said, not sure why there are so many bad ratings for this Eugene. Although the course content is dull, he makes the information very easy to understand. Never used the text book. Long answer questions on exam are taken directly from study questions he provides before each test. Very Helpful and caring prof.
