Oh my, he needs to retire. It's profs like him and Woodward who have been at SPU for so long that they're senile. It makes the campus look bad that we have these old guys here that are bent on their own ways/beliefs and grade according to what THEY think. His lectures are dull and dry and frankly a little too preechy.

Only after this course ended did I figure out how I should have studied. Some tips: 1)the textbook is supplementary, useful but info from it is NOT tested on.2) the ONLY things you should be studying are his required Study Packet, and your lecture notes.Do EVERY quiz, memory quiz and library assignment, and you will pass, even if you fail the tests.

Very dry, lectures w/rare discussion. Definitely knows subject, but doesn't make it interesting. Don't bother even buying the Harris book (this from a straight-A student); he mentions it maybe 3 times in class and never on tests. I stopped reading it after the 2nd week and aced the class (which should be easy for everyone who takes good notes).

Unfortunately, I have never had such a boring + difficult professor. He has very high expectations for students but could not possibly meet your lowest expectations for a professor.

Prof. Lemcio is by far the most difficult professor to take UFDN from. He tests are extremely subjective and the only way to get a good grade is to know what his opinion is. He uses nothing for his lectures except his words and the occassional white board making notes near impossible to take. He is spiratic and inconsistant in his teachings.

Awesome Prof, Material was good. I learned more about the Bible than I ever did before. He really helped me think about scripture. I think that this is awesome, no matter what grade you get. He makes the Bible class difficult, but the bible is something we should all struggle with to understand. He's insightful, and sneaks in some witty jokes.

talks a lot about respecting and accepting other people's opinions, but in reality, if you don't mimic his beliefs you can expect a very poor grade. Makes UFDN 2000 way harder than it was meant to be.

This was the hardest class I ever took at SPU. He was a horrible professor, dry, boring, and was way harder than any UFND prof should ever be.

He is the basis for my theory that the smarter you are the less hair you have(or the more frizzy it is). Brilliant man, I enjoyed the class, UFDN was easy as long as you remembered that the title of the class should be "Bible according to Lemcio"

No no no. Don't recommend. Not very clear as far as what he expects. Pretty boring class and he is kind of a jerk. But I've gotta say, he knows the Gospels very well.

Wonderful class. Wall's commentary wasn't any good (I tossed it), but the instruction was great. The mid-term and final were easy, if you did what he told you to do from the beginning.

Dr. Lemcio is NOT an easy prof. He treats his classes like college courses, not like Sunday School. This is hard for students who aren't used to having to be self-motivated or proactive about their own learning. He's strict but he's fair. You'll learn a lot if you're willing to listen and work hard.

He is very unclear with what he wants. We had to redo a presentation AND paper just because he didn't explain it right the first time. DO NOT take him for any theology classes. Does not feel like he wants one to grow as a Christian, but rather teaches from his own perspective!
