I will start off by saying I absolutely HATE chemistry. Dr. Losey has made Organic Chemistry engaging and I actually feel confident in the material. You can tell he loves what he does and has such a passion for teaching and wants his students to do well. It is a difficult course but if you study you will be fine!

If you don't want to go to truck driving school take Dr. Losey. Honestly, one of the best professors I've ever had. Orgo is not the easiest subject but if you pay attention in lecture, take notes, and do your homework you will be fine. There is a lot of homework, but it's manageable if you don't procrastinate it. I recommend! :)

I honestly don't know why I'm majoring in chemistry, but this guy makes lectures so fun. He is incredibly educated in the subject, and explains it in ways that a trained chimpanzee could understand. He is the only professor I know who posts videos of himself online, so that if anyone misses a lecture they can get it online. Funny jokes also. 10/10

Dr. Losey is a wonderful both as a professor and person. He will help you if you come and ask for help. Exams are a little hard, but if you study his notes and practice exams then you should be prepared. Overall, I'd recommend him for everyone.

Losey is the man for organic chemistry! Knows his stuff! However, I feel like he left out sections of orgo that are on professional school exams, so now I have to teach myself certain bits. Class was totally different than anything I have ever taken. Some memorization and lots of problem solving (wo math). Labs are easy. LOTS of HW. He is FUNNY!!!

Orgo will always be difficult but Dr. Losey knows how to teach it. He has mastered how to teach it effectively and is always available for help. He is extremely funny and easy to listen to and he is able to make it interesting for his student by bringing real life analysis into lecture! Overall he is great!

Dr. Losey is one of the funniest professors I have ever had! He is so easy to follow and is an amazing professor. Organic Chemistry is hard regardless, but Dr. Losey makes it less intense and in the end he is a great professor!

His lectures are never boring. Has funny jokes in class. Also, lectures are very organized and always hands back tests/quizzes right away. My only complaint is that he is very unhelpful as far as answering questions one might have on the material being taught and his tests are long and not much time is given on them.

Knows his subject. Tests and quizzes were fair and good representations of the material. Labs were always a snooze. Homeworks were a bit too long sometimes. But the biggest flaw was pace. Would spend weeks (and cut classes early) on easy material that the class understood but fly through difficult stuff at the end of the term.

Great organic chemistry teacher who LOVES his subject. Although I learned a lot from Dr. Losey and even went on to earn my degrees in chemistry, he needs to be a bit more conscientious about how much time his take-home work requires. Other than that minor concern, one of the best teachers I had in college.

I had Dr. Losey for several classes, including Advanced Organic for two semesters and a couple of the modules. He is truly a brilliant and compelling man. His humor and knowledge could lull anyone into learning Chemistry. The thing is though, if you do not want to take his classes seriously, he will send you take truck driving school. Bip Bip Done.

If you don't understand chemistry at all, even gen-chem... this is the professor for you! he gives you all the pieces and the big picture so you can understand how everything fits together. If you just do what he says you will have no problem understanding the material and no problem getting a good grade.. all you have to do is put in a little time

This is a super easy class.. ignore all the people who tell u that it's hard. You have hw and quizzes each week, and he lectures really informally but it all helps for the hard exams. This is one professor no one can complain about. the best thing about him is that he is lenient, and will find solutions to ur concerns. almost every1 got A's or B's
