Loved him. He's very nice and helpful and pleasant in class. He's one of those teachers who explains something with complete clarity and then there are still people who just cannot grasp the concept, so he comes off looking like he doesn't know what he's doing. Believe me, he does. Class can drag on b/c of the subject, but he's a great teacher.

I suppose is is a good teacher if you know grammar already. He's a nice guy and funny but not really helpful. I was lost a large portion of the time while those that were already good with grammar were breezing through. If you take it and don't know your stuff I wish you luck and hope you have time to study.

I didn't know jack about grammar before taking this class. I'm not crystal clear on all of it now, but I'm much better off than I was! He is great at explaining things, funny, and and into current events! I highly recommend. If you already know grammar though, it will be easy as pie for you.

do not take him- he was supposed to teach a modern studies class and he made it into a ww2 history class. tests are really hard, lots of pop quizzes. in class, all you do is watch movies so that's not too bad though.

Nice enough guy, but the class was kind of silly. The people who already know grammar well are really bored, while those who do not remain confused and do not learn much. There were about 5 high As and everyone else got C or less. But you have to take the class for Middle Grades Language Arts Education and editing majors. Same thing every day.

One of the best teachers I have ever had. He learns all of his students names and really wants to get to know his students on a deeper level. After his grammar class, I changed to have him as my advisor. Great man, wonderful professor. TAKE HIM! :)

Although I think Dr. Miller is probably a great Engligh prof, do not take film with him unless you are deeply interested it the topic. it is NOT an easy A class. by far the most work in an intro class I have ever had. If you love film and know lots of insider stuff, he's your man. very enthusiastic.

Good professor, but possibly too much reading. Many novels to read, but all are spectacular. Excellent discussions in class. Exams are easy if you read.
