Didnt get a sylibus till 2 weeks into the class, he mumbles. You can tells he really knows his stuff, but cannot convey the message. I taught myself out of the book.

He had powerpoints, but he did not use them effectively. Most of lectures he spent rambling about stuff that didn't make sense. He is quite intelligent, but he has a great deal of difficulty passing it on to others. I think once he tried to tell us that global warming was caused by bad haircuts and blueberries... He seems senile.

Dr. Perry is a mixed bag; I can agree with other comments that his teaching is terrible. He never seems to have anything planned out. However, he is a great person to talk to outside of class and very willing to help you. He has an extreme curve in his class; technically I should have got at least C's/D's on exams but he gives you A's/B's.

Where do I start?... Perry is probably the worst professor I've had yet. He is scatter-brained during lecture. He often spends little time on the basics (I was in a 100 level class, mind you) and starts rambling on about specifics. Pop quizzes are on lecture material. He grades on a huge curve. I got an A, I should have failed.

Eugene Perry is easily the worst teacher I have ever seen. He is pathetic. He can't grade (literally, he screwed up and didn't know how to fix it) and he can't teach. He is so shockingly UNhelpful, that going to office hours will make you understand LESS. This man should never have been allowed to teach, and needs to be fired/retire ASAP.

Completely incompetent. He is, quite honestly, unfit to teach anyone at any level of education. Taking any class taught by him instantly puts your GPA at risk. Why he's still allowed anywhere near a college is beyond me. Why he was ever hired in the first place, in fact, is beyond me.

AWFUL!!! This is a 120 level class and he needs to act like it. I went to every class and read every chapter and still had A LOT of trouble with his ridiculous tests. you can have a one page cheat sheet, but this does not help. Do not take if you can avoid!

This is by far the hardest class I have ever taken. I had work during his office hours so I could never go in and see him so when I had questions I would send him emails and he would respond back but not with an answer. The tests come out of left field and he has "pop quizes" to try and get you to go to class. Dont take this class!

In my opinion, taking this class is the academic equalvalent to a complete rectal examination. Perry is completely inadequate as an instructor and his approach to teaching is terrible. He lacks any participation with the class and contiunes to ramble on as if everyone in the room understands the nonsense coming from his mouth. NEVER TAKE HIS CLASS!

First of all, this is an introductory geology class, and he expects us to learn the material as if we were in a 400 level class. Second of all, he makes no remark on what is going to be on the tests (no study guide of course) but instead rambles on about some useless info about "pictures of rocks." Third, he has no idea how to calculate the grades.

Nice guy, but he can't complete a thought. I go to class every day and study but still fail the tests- they're impossible, he TRIES to trick you! He gives pop quizes over topics in class but rambles so much its hard to focus. Everyone guesses on the quizes. Hes a nice guy and knows his stuff but I wouldn't advise taking him.
