I had Thuot back in the late 90s. He was challenging, but that made it all the more rewarding when you did well in his class. He was one of the best professors I have ever had and I enjoyed his honors classes. He's the kind of professor that will design and teach a class on a topic just because his students ask him.

Dr. Thuot is remarkable. In his quiet and utterly sincere way, he is in love with his material, and his devotion to his students is remarkable. If you are one of those unusual students really animated by a longing for wisdom, you'll find in Dr. Thuot a caring mentor and a friend.

Dr. Thuot is a really great guy; he really knows his material and loves to teach it. However, he's particularly set in his opinions, and because he's so smart it's nearly impossible to win in an argument against him (though it's been done before). To do well: stay caught up on the reading, take good notes, and THINK about the material.

Dr. Thuot is not hard at all. His class was one of the easiest I've ever taken. Here is the secret. Ask for a study guide. He practically gives you the test. I made 100's on all of them after I did that. He is boring though. Very monotoned as far as voice goes and when he does stress a word its an insignificant one like "the." Otherwise he's good.

Sure he is hard, but then again he has to be to keep the idiots in check. I have learned more from him than just about any other man alive. Just be honest and if you say something be able to back it up. I thought I was the Man until the first time I crossed him my Freshman year. He taught me how not to argue, but he loves you as a student.

Great teacher, super smart, and really nice guy to talk to. Although he is hard, he is fair. Just listen in class and take ALOT of notes and you will be fine. All the questions come directly from what he talks about so there should be no reason not to have an idea of what to study.

Hardest. Teacher. Ever. I have had him 4 times, and the classes get harder and harder each time. Con Law was my favorite though. His tests are impossibly difficult, and he's a rough grader on papers too. Good guy, but hard as all hell to get an A with.
