I took Badowska's theory class and the Brontes seminar she taught. I'd been doubting my decision to major in English until these classes. She's one of those brilliant people who encourages brilliance in others. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful. She won't let you off easy, but you'll definitely learn a lot from her.

Badowska is an amazing professor. She is smart, passionate, eloquent, and engaging. The texts are dense but engaging. Class consists of discussions which are fun, challenging, and helpful. Papers are medium length and fairly-graded. Badowska is a great professor.

one of the best professors you could hope to have - not an easy grade but worth all of the work. she'll make you think and improve your writing skills etc., plus she'll give you tons of new ideas to think about. if you're willing to do the work, take her class and you'll be well-pleased.

Brilliant woman yet pretty down to earth! She lives for this stuff. not one of those classes where i could easily bs my way through. class topics were interesting and class discussions were actually fun sometimes. I definately enjoyed this class. participation was a big part.Teacher has special way of finding a significant point in EVERY comment.

Speaks very eloquently and articulately; seems to love what she does. Reading assignments are often long, but at least the books aren't half bad. 4 books; take-home midterm; 1 essay; mini quizzes along the way; and an in-class final. Also, she hates when people are late. Overall, an enjoyable class.

badowska is a genius. i loved listening to her speak during class-- everything she says is brilliant and the woman never once referred to any sort of notes, she just spoke off the top of her head. definitely hard subject matter but you will learn so much. great professor.

Dr Badowska is an amazing teacher. She is such a helpful professor. Some of her essay assignments were tough but do-able. Very sweet lady too. She is a bit tough with grading at first but she loosens up as the semester goes on. Would recommend her!

She is a great teacher. Even though her class was an 8:30 I didn't care, it was enjoyable. She is a tough grader though. Its hard to get an A, but she cares about her students. The key is to talk in class and do the readings. Those who talk do well.

Love her as a person, she is a TOUGH teacher! Liked her a lot, and would take again, however, it's difficult to get an A. She grades on a personal level (not vs. rest of the papers) and truly wants you to improve. She gets genuinely upset when her students don't seem to get/do things properly and thus teaches to that. 5 papers-no midterm/final

A little boring at times, some of the discussion becomes repetative and excessive on subjects that really don't demand that much attention. In addition, often times it seems like she's soaking up her own glory as a PhD with long-winded anecdotes and interjections of vast personal knowledge. A decent class, but not my preference.

Dr. Badowska is my favorite professor at Fordham, and, after taking her class, Theory, which I was dreading, is my favorite field of study in the discipline of English. Absolutely take her for theory, she will convince you that it's actually cool. Terrific teacher, truly.

Oh Eva. She assigns WAY too much reading. You don't even get to all of it. A bit difficult w/grading on papers, but her comments actually help you become a better writer. I hated her at first, but she's one of the best fordham has to offer. Stick with it if u have her- it's worth it.
