Take her if you don't read a majority of the books/don't go to lecture cuz she is ridiculously easy when it comes to grading midterms/finals. for a good grade in disc, go to office hours and suck up to her. overall, sweet, but frivolous..didn't learn anything. wish i picked someone else. easy but boring and slightly crazy.

Encourages group discussions and is very enthuasistic about teaching but classes can still be boring at times. Moderate on grading on essays but thought very easy on tests. Carries an easy going persona so feel free to visit her at her office but clarity is as poor as all other Hum Core teachers.

She is very enthusiastic and has a wealth of knowledge. Fun class but sometimes she doesn't explain the lectures very well and goes off topic alot. However, she's a great professor and will reward hard work.

Nice and easy to listen to. Very eager to help, but, she's very ambigious on the grading. Suck up and go to the individual conferences so she'll like you and get an A. Otherwise, she might give you a bad grade because she doesn't like you.

An avid individual. She will go over lecture, but is too easily sidetracked. Thus, her discussions were irritating. She also had trouble finishing sentences before the next idea would burst out. Her conferences were helpful, and a novelty, but her grading itself is very arbitrary. I left not knowing why I got an A on a paper rather than a B or C.

She is probably the best teacher you will have at UCI... she makes class interesting and is understanding to everyone's problems. She helps you in every aspect of the class. She is fun and entertaining. And it is not that hard to stay awake, because her class never got boring... I LOVED IT!

The "cool" teacher. Very fun class, never get bored. She speaks very well and she is like 80 years old. Really sparks interest in the class and wants you to succeed. Grade-wise, somewhat arbitrary, but if you put enough effort into it, you will do well.

Wow this is an excellent ta! The workload is tough but she always makes sure that everyone understands the material. Some group work and a very interactive class. She always makes sure that her students understand the essay prompt. She is a very funny person and you're very lucky to get her as a ta!

Very helpful. She even thanked us for studying for her final. Work load isnt very light, but could be worse. I'd take her again if thats anything to you. Very nice and very reasonable. Basically like a mom that wants you to do well.

she's so funny! really helps improve your writing but grades on essays are unfair. she read my rough draft and said that the concepts were clear and that it was good. i get my essay back with marks all over it saying that i wasn't clear enough and got the same grade as i did on the other 2 essays.

She is the best teacher I've had in college so far. She knows when someone needs help and is always happy to do all she can. Always cheerful, not biased w/grading, very understanding and compasionate. If you can, PICK DR WESSELL! you'll love it!!
