Okay lecturer, but must attend because her lectures are a vital part of the exam. Quite a bit of reading but go to tutorial and lecture PAT ATTENTION to get to know the information you need about the book if you can't read it. 2 exams, 2 essays, 1 easy presentation and tutorial mark. Evelyn can be a bit boring - but she is a really, really nice lady! She will answer any question you have, so, don't be shy to ask! She is prompt with e-mailing also. The assignments weren't too bad, however, we did have to read 14 novels which was excessive!!!! That being said, I would definitely take another class with her.

A nice woman, but not a very good lecturer or ta... not engaging at all, and tone of voice is rather boring. Also, in her lecturers, she goes back and forth with topics and such which then causes notes to be all over the place

I had Evelyn as a Professor this year for Caribbean Studies. She isn't very engaging. She speaks softly, but is a nice person who knows what shes talking about. Confusing at times.

Only had her as a prof, she was a good lecturer, but at times went back and forth in her discussions, making things a tinsy bit more confusing. However, she is very knowledgable in her field and despite bad attitudes, I would not say that should be a justification to avoid this course.

I found her extremely helpful and easy to talk to. I had a diffcult semester and barely went to class because of it, but she really helped me out and was sympathtic. Nice lady and has extensive knowledge about the caribbean.

This prof and her Charmain her counterpart are the most boringest (i know it's not a word) profs i've ever encounters. Where is the Caribbean flavor of being wicked story tellers, lively and interesting? not in this class. The TA's and tutorials make this course awesome, I had Nedra Rodrigo. I was lucky though, some ppl got the profs for TA's.
