He is a very good professor. He knows his stuff and how to present it in class. Exams can be difficult in class but if you do the homeworks you would definitely get higher than the average and pass the class with a very decent grade. just make sure you do the homeworks!all of them :)

He teaches something very, very basic in class and then he expects you to solve difficult exam problems/quizzes with constants (no real numbers). Unfair to kids in BU's Science and Engineering Program because majority take CAS classes instead of MET which are easier. Most students in the program suffer for 3 semesters of Calc with him.

He is terrible because you are expected to manipulate all the concepts to the highest level possible. We never do the types of problems on tests in class so the class average is usually a 55-60. Unfair to BU Sci and Engineer Program's kids. Good thing the program is being taken down.

Do not take a class with him!Class average is a 66 and he refuses to curve.He seems to have no understanding of the material, making mistakes literally every single class.And not just math errors, in trying to explain concepts he's told us the complete opposite of what's true.And doesn't even realize!Not sure he actually knows what he's teaching

He is very bad. Avoid him at all possible costs. Very abstract exams in which you deal with constants as opposed to real numbers and teaches very basic problems in class. He expects you to to think on a very high level when you get to exams and quizzes. Kids in BU's Sci and Eng. Program have been screwed for years because of him.

He's a nice guy, but he doesn't teach well. He needs to stop giving problems which take you 20 minutes to get to the original types of problems we actually solve in class. Also, the class is 2 hours long compared to 1 hour CAS classes and there is no curve. It is unfair for students in BU's Sci. and Engineering Program to deal with this course.

VERY HELPFUL, SOMETIMES OVERCOMPLICATED BUT IF YOU DO THE HOMEWORK AND ASK QUESTIONS YOU'LL DEFINELTY PASS. HE DOESN'T GET ANNOYED WHEN YOU ASK TO MANY QUESTIONS AND HE GIVES PARTIAL PIONTS SO IF YOU ATTEMPT A PROBLEM AND GET IT COMPLETELY WRONG HE GIVES YOU PIONTS FOR TRYING. HE DEFINTLEY KNOWS HIS STUFF AND YOU CAN UNDERSTAND HIM.

Fabian is a really good teacher. He is one of the smarted math professors I've met and really knows his stuff. His class is harder on average than most other math classes, but if you'd rather take a course where you can learn and have an extremely helpful teacher, he's your man.

Fabian TRIES really hard. His faulty English is usually more amusing than distracting. His explanation of stats was helpful, but usually too lengthy and drawn out. He had the misconception that he was the professor and often took discussion off topic, leaving little time for students' questions. (Which frankly pissed me off.)

I had him as a tutor for MA115, and he was exceptionally great. I went into his office being completely confused, and came out 2 hours later understanding the entire semester. He will sit down and make things clear for you so that you understand. Great guy. Great tutor.
