This class was the bane of my existence spring semester. If I ever have to hear him talk about his wife's miniature house business again it'll be too soon. For me personally, the math was impossible and i really on did semi-well on the tests due to the memorization stuff. Skip out on this one, you'll be better for it. This class also ruined my 4.0.

He's a pretty chill guy. He goes off on random stories throughout class but it makes the lectures more enjoyable. Homework is rough but it is for completion so it's fine. Tests are curved and random attendance checks throughout the semester.

Professor Karatjas is an amazing professor. He is very smart and loves what he does. Will help you understand everything while encouraging you to figure out the answer on your own. Makes learning the material easy. Gives a few quizzes but they are easy and he will sometimes let you use your notes and work with other students. Rarely gives homework.

Dr. Karatjas is an amazing professor. He really loves what he does and is always willing to help. He doesn't always take attendance but will randomly hand out half sheets of paper to write a sentence to show that you were there. I absolutely loved this class. His lectures kept my interest easily. He's a very nice man and always has stories to tell!

Easy class just had to show up and pay attention, he does not take attendance, but there are quizzes sometimes they are easy & he let us work with people on them, but tests are hard unless you study a lot, there wasn't any major projects except for one but it was for extra credit, no public speaking at all, just a relaxed class, he was interesting

Karatjas is... interesting. He spends the majority of the class on tangents about the most random stuff. Hes nice, but I personally found him annoying. You either love or hate him. The quizzes have nothing to do with the lecture, and the test is half lecture half quiz. Very little bonus opportunity. Quite a few bigger papers.

Despite what everyone else says, Karatjas was one of the best professors ive had at IUP. he does talk about current events alot, but it makes the class go faster and hell help you with anything, inside and outside of class. If you have the chance take him, the book is online and so is the homework. just make sure you study for his exams

He is okay. I liked that he started the class out with current events everyday but you have to go to class all the time because he give out in class assignments as part of your grade and he likes to do them when a lot of people skip just to be a jerk. He rushes you through quizzes but her will let you use a notecard for test. he is alright over all

He is the rudest most sarcastic person I ever met. He talks about current events for 90% of the class time, so we never learn anything. Basically you need to teach yourself everything.

This online class was so easy that I finished the entire course load in one 7-hour sitting. I never had much contact with the professor, but that was because I came across nearly no problems with the material. He posts all assignments and quizzes at the beginning of the course, so that you can finish it all as soon as you want. It was way easy.

Best teacher I've taken at IUP. He's funny, interesting to listen to, and his class is really easy. You're allowed one note card for the tests, though you don't need it. All I had to do was go to class, do the homework and read the study guides in the book before each test. Don't take anyone else!

I RECOMMEND! allows notecard for exams with whatever you can fit on it. Also, gives sample tests from past to study from and sometimes a study guide as well. he allows you to work with others in the class for some quizzes. GREAT PROF and makes ECON INTERESTING!

Going to class is actually something you may want to do. Talks more about news that actual lessons. The only thing that sucks about that is you don't have many notes to study for the tests. Gives past tests to study from.
