Lecture is completely worthless and exams have nothing to do with it. The only thing he can accomplish in his class is putting many people to sleep. People had to complain to change his mean from a C- to a B-.

I mean, sure he doesn't really do anything and the lectures are pretty boring, but eh, it's AN EASY CLASS!! The midterm and final were laughibly easy as long as you understand the VHDL. Just how is it possible to not understand a language so similar to C after taking EECS 10? If you need to be spoon-fed this stuff, switch majors.

He is the most boring lecturer I've ever had, one of the worst in engineering. His exams are totally different from sample exams, and homeworks. Overall, very hard, very vague, not helpful, and USELESS.

Pretty good course. Mainly an overview of the EECS 170A, 170B, 170C series. Lectures were somewhat dry at times as he just reads the lecture slides; exams were taken straight from lecture though. Posts everything (except grades) online, review lecture slides to prepare for the exam. Professor is a nice guy- go to his office hours.

He's lazier than all of you guys. Simply read the lectures from his slides. If you don't know how to read the slides, you should take his class. He should be substituted with Kavianpour.

Kurdahi...is really nice. If you listen to his lectures, you won't need to read his slides. But it's hard to stay awake for the entire lecture. Reading and understanding the lecture slides will easily get you a B+ and reading the book will get you an A!!!

I totally agree with the previous post! He is the laziest professor in the department! Yet, professors like him get paid alot (100k+/year). Get Professor Kavianpour back!

Very lazy. He steals slides and assigments from other websites. In lecture all he does is read the slides you can find online. You can probably find his assignments and projects if you google them online. Labs are extremely long and confusing. Fairly difficult tests.

His TAs are the kings. He doesnt control them. If you are fine with TAs then you are fine. Lecture is pretty boring so he makes u come to lecture by counting the attendances. Still a lot of people come n sign n leave, and some dont even come n let their friends sign up for them.

worthless lab lectures that were online. INSTEAD OF REALLY TEACHING US HOW TO USE THE XILINX PROGRAM, HE READS DIRECTLY OFF OF HIS LECTURES WHICH JUST DESCRIBES THE LABS (WHICH ARE OFTEN A LITTLE CONFUSING). Bad teacher.

He did not watch his TAs closely. I had a **** for a TA, and scrutinized the daylights out of everything we did. Other classes got A's on every lab because of an easy TA while we had to fight for low B's. When you take this class, SAVE YOUR WORK!!!!

Easy labs except for the final lab. However, grades were not normalized across discussion sections (i.e. a harder TA could jeopardize your grade as you may be curved against easier TAs).
