Comment:

She was a teacher, so she shares her experiences with us which is very helpful. Super sweet caring. Lets you out so early almost every class. Take the forums seriously. Chapter quizzes are easy, can re take unlimited times. 4 essays and 2 big essays (case study & final). Almost pointless to go to class, because everything is online, but she checks.

Prof Cousens was awesome! Quizzes were from text so make sure you read. She was a fair grader. Just do the work and you will fine. It was great to have a professor who actually participated in the class.

Prof. Cousens made the class so interesting by sharing lots of stories of her experience. Easiest and most interesting class I've taken at Marist. I would definitely recommend.

Professor Cousens is an easy professor. However, you will have to work for an A in the class. Your grade is broken down by forum posts, weekly quizzes, a final paper, and 6 writing assignments in total. Great professor, very passionate about the material. Has a strong desire to help students. Kind of politically incorrect at times, which is ironic.

This class is incredibly easy but I find I haven't learned anything. She makes very rude comments regarding people with certain disabilities despite trying to convince her students to be politically correct. She seems nice enough but I have felt personally insulted by many of her comments.

I loved this class. You learn a lot of interesting things and Professor Cousens is really easy. As long as you do everything that she expects of you, you'll get an A. I would definitely recommend taking her.

Took her for Exceptional Child, easy class, videos every other class, interesting topics. She is a little unproffesional in terms of her comments toward the disabled world, but that is just my opinion. I would still take her again cuz theres no tests and shes nice enough. But you have to be there, attendance is big for her.

you learn lots of things about disabilities. lots of individual projects outside of class, but not hard at all. no tests, no presentations and no midterm- only a final paper. you only take a few notes and watch movies. she usally lets you out 15 min early to make up for the outside work. put effort into the class and you'll do fine, take it.
