Dr. Bolandhemat is awesome. CS3 was a fantastic online class, the assignments and work were straightforward. She gave really good detailed feedback, weekly work is easily accomplished, quizzes are easy if you do the reading. Visual Basic work can be hard but she offers lots of help and responds immediately. Highly Recommend if you want online.

Confusing instructions. I found myself learning more from students than from her. Says she is there to help but takes almost a week to rely to her emails. If you're willing to work and learn by yourself this is a good choice but if you would prefer to actually learn from the lectures I would suggest taking it in person with someone else.

I took this teacher for CS 3 and it was a disaster. The main problem was that she does not really understand computer programming and therefore cannot teach it. I heard that that she was teaching the computer applications courses and somehow is now teaching computer science. SYhe material seems to be over her head.

Honestly I really enjoyed her class. She was understanding and would gladly help if someone was stuck or lost. She's definitely not going to hold your hand if you're disrespectful or not putting any effort into the class though. Overall I'd say shes a great teacher, and I'm already signed up for another of her classes.

I took the online excel class. Every week, a chapter in the book was assigned and then homework. Professor Bolandhemat did not teach anything -- just gave assignments. Class was basically self-taught. Worse class I have taken at SMC.

Awful Teacher. Avoid her if you can. She is rude in her E-mails and she also takes very long to respond to students who genuinely need even the smallest amount of help. She dismisses your question by telling you to look for simple question you have in your book.This rating is from from a Dean's List Student

Take anybody else you can, she does not answer her E-mails promptly and seems irritated and rude when she does. She will tell you to look for any answers in your book, don't come to her if you are stuck and need help. She will not help you at all. Avoid her classes online, maybe she is a better teacher live on ground classes.So she can't ignore u.

This online class was fairly well organized and the professor was quick to respond to questions both by email and in the class discussions. The coolest online course I have ever taken at SMC. Fariba (CIS50) is super cool and extremely helpful and she is clear when it comes to the assignments. There is a lot of books needed for the class so that's costly but the coursework is awesome.

I took Bolandhemat's online section. Very easy course- complete assignments correctly and you'll get full credit. There are weekly quizzes and a final, all multiple choice and open-book- they are easy, simply find the answers in the text. She was helpful when I had questions. Only criticism is the textbooks- there's four of them, so its expensive.

I learned a lot about Excel through the activities in the book. Through her posts in the online discussions boards, I could tell she wanted very much to help, but her English skills limited her. It was frustrating at times, but luckily, I was able to work out most of the problems on my own. Well-paced class, but lacked in following schedules.

I took her Adobe Flash class and she spent half the time thumbing through the book as if she were learning it for the first time also. Her accent was thick but if you grew up in the city its not a problem. When I asked her to clarify something and she told me "it makes sense in my head but I cannot explain" Teachers get paid to explain, I dropped
