Dr. Najafi's class is tedious. Weekly progress reports are required (in the form of presentations) about the term paper we have to write. Students have to peer review presentations, and those reviews are then read out loud to the entire class. Najafi goes off topic for 30+ minutes every class. The class is easy, but he is annoying. Avoid if you can

He doesn't actually teach the class, he has Sarah teach 95% of the time. However I preferred it that way as he does get off topic easily. Go to the lectures even though they're boring. Make sure to write down what you have to do when first opening AutoCad or you WILL be lost in the first lab. DO THE LABS. You will not get an A if you don't.

Allows TA's to do everything and have complete control over the class. Male TA was very unhelpful and expected first-time AutoCAD users to know everything on their own. Najafi is nice but basically has lost control of the class; I'd take it with different instructors if possible.

Easy "A" for both CGN 5606 and CGN 5605. The professor is very kind, helpful, and generous. However, I didn't like the idea of writing 6000 words term paper in CGN 5606.

Dr. Najafi is a great professor, but he annoys me. I like professors to be short winded and to the point. He regularly goes on and on about how much his students mean to him. I would really rather just learn the material and go home. He is a very nice man and a good professor, but he's pretty hand off with his class, and his rambling annoys me alot

He never teaches, he just comes and watches and gives a speech. Showing up to class helps, especially trying to know the commands. TAs are awesome, Jerry knows, but he gets easily mad with people. If you know very little about cad, this should be a cruise. Cheating in the cad files is quite easy, get old files from your friends, & then thank me

Professor Najafi is hilarious and a great teacher. The TA's are really helpful and care about helping you grasp each concept. With one obsession- Jerry. He is probably the most knowledgeable TA but he is really arrogant and makes you feel like an idiot for even bothering to ask for help.

Najafi was awesome. He didn't actually teach the class, the TA's did all the teaching, but Najafi would always be in lecture class, and he always seemed to be in the best mood. There was no textbook for this class, but the TA's know their stuff, so if you ever need help on anything, there's always a TA (usually Jerry) in the office waiting to help

I thought he was a good teacher and extremely fair. At the beginning of summer, I was in a serious accident which prevented me from returning to my classes until the end of summer A. Dr. Najafi was willing to accommodate this and allowed to me catch back up in the class while working with the TAs. I ended up with about a 99% in the class, not hard.

This dude is crazy but doesn't actually teach the class as you will soon find out. The projects can be long but if you go to the right lab days the TA's will show you step by step what to do. The 2 tests dont require much study time but can be a little tricky. The forms seem pointless except for use on the test but also easy. Plus free $4k program.

Najafi doesn't teach the class, but the TA who does is great. You have hand drawings that are due AT THE BEGINNING OF CLASS (don't be late)! The TAs are extremely helpful & Najafi caters to his students, so you will always be able to get help. Overall the class is pretty easy and seems practical just take your time and make sure you ask for help.

This guy is great, even though he doesn't really do anything, the TA's teach the entire course while he oversees everything. However, he is funny, cares about how well you do more than any other teacher I've ever had, and really knows his stuff.

Najafi is a really great guy. His TAs control the class, which is probably for the better. The only thing about this class was it was time-consuming. Just make sure Dooyong isn't your TA. Peter and Ashu are excellent.

He is a very smart man put in a easy useless class. The AutoCAD class teaches nothing about how to draft plans like they are done out in the real world. He is a Fulbright Senior Scholar and should be teaching a class up to his credentials but there is still a lot of prejudice in the Dept of Civil Engineering.

Dr. Najafi must be good at something if he's teaching at the University of Florida but AUTOCAD is not it. Yes, he's extremely funny, caring, seemingly kind, but he's an absolute idiot. Fortunately, he can't/doesn't teach the class so he gets three fantastic TA's to do so. I recommend taking the class w/ him simply because of the TA's.

Really nice guy. He is always trying to help his students. Most of the class is done by his TA's but he is always present to answer questions. He will make you laugh a lot. He talks really loud, so better if you do not seat in first row ;)
