I decided to write a rating after I saw all of the negative ones written about Mr. Larios. While the clarity of the course is absent and he does not return grades very often he is absolutely worth taking! He is entertaining, lively, and has a great sense of humor. Your spanish will improve. He is an easy grader, this class will be a GPA booster.

Absolutely no structure to the class, every day he just starts talking about nonsense. Grades are never returned so you have no idea where you stand. Can't understand him, not a good lecturer. Easy for the most part but I ended with a B+ and still have no idea what grade i received on any assignment. Avoid

He is a great guy but he is a terrible teacher. He does not teach the material. Class is painful to sit through. It's really easy and I got an A because he basically gives you the answers but its not worth it. The class was so unclear and I did not learn anything

He's an awful teacher. He talks during tests so you cant focus. We only got twenty minutes for our midterm - not near enough time to finish. I think people noticed that most students were getting A's and he changed his grading because I don't know anyone in my class thats getting an A. He's annoying and petty and I definitely DONT recommend him...

I had more fun in his class than any other. His teaching style is very different, but my spanish definitely improved after taking this class. Participation is critical for your grade and general enjoyment of the class. I would recommend taking this this professor. I'm going to try to take him for 2002.

Great teacher! First class that I ever actually learned anything in Spanish. He has a different teaching style, and it works really well. Do not worry about your grade! If you go to class and do the work, you will make an A. I promise! Take him!

One of the craziest professors I have ever had but he has a very unique approach to Spanish. It is very intimidating at first and you will want to quit but don't. If you show up to class, participate, and have a good attitude you will get an A. And we did not have a single graded assignment all semester so I am not sure what that grade is based on.

I think if you have Larios you should definetly keep him. The first few days can seem really intimidating becauuse his teaching is unlike any other teacher. I wanted to switch out the first week but I kept with him and am glad I did. He makes learning fun and easy. Has worksheets that help sometimes and makes going to class enjoyable. Great guy!

He is great! He makes spanish fun. the class is very easy, and you can get an A by going to class. He wants people to participate, but it is not hard at all. Things get disorganized sometimes because he doesnt always tell you when things are right away, but then he makes up for it by helping make the assignments easier. You learn without realizing

if you just went on the Key and saw his high GPAs, it doesn't matter!! Though i got an A in the class every day was HORRIBLE. He doesn't know how to teach and my spanish got worse! GHe may be a nice guy, but hes an absolutely terrible teacher. SWITCH OUT!

Before i took this class i was a Spanish minor and after this class I am not! Larios taught absolutely nothing! In fact it was an ongoing joke in our class that he couldn't speak spanish becasue he refues to! I learned absolutely nothing! However, it WAS easy, but trust me it is too much frustration to take this class just for an easy A. AVIOD HIM!

Wow, what a terrible professor. He refused to speak Spanish in our 2002 class. I even told him it would be to our benefit to speak more spanish but he refused and only spoke terrible English. You won't learn anything and the final is very difficult. He just doesn't seem to care or understand.

Before this class, Spanish was my favorite subject, but he just seemed to cause confusion every day. The class should not have been hard, but somehow he just made it that way because he was so confusing. I am reconsidering my major now. The final was way too hard given what we learned in class. Most of the class time was spent in confusion.
