I enjoyed Prof. Aven's class. His class is not easy like most of the other raters had mentioned. He uses myManagement Lab which is easy and has assignments due every week. His exams are difficult but not too bad if you study for them. I would take him again if he taught other classes. He's the assistant dean and doesn't teach many classes.

His a good professor. He relates his material to life experiences especially for the business world. Most challenging for me were the simulation quizes. Understanding what decisions to make in a managing setting. Other than that his a good professor loves to relate the material to sports.

Don't worry about taking notes in this class,they won't help.In fact I reccommend not attending class and using that time to read.Read the chapters and understand everything.Not just the definitions.The exams are kind of difficult but if you study hard, you should do ok.If you're looking for an easy A,this is definetly not the place.

If you want an easy class, try another professor. If you want to learn, he is the guy. You will not do well in class if you do not study your book. His tests are not the easiest either, most people fail the first test. It's possible to pass if you study, but to get an A, well..study hard. It's do-able.

He's alright, his tests are very hard, even though I read all the chapters, I still did bad..maybe it was my fault but I don't know. He has group tests after your individual test and they are usually good. Online quizzes are easy. Nice guy, very funny at times, talks about his family a lot which is fun to hear about. Just read the book to do well.

He is a good teacher. When it comes to studying for the text you are on your own. He gives you about 6 to 7 Assignments out of the book and then you have to write an one page paper on that, there is a certain way how he wants that done. If I could I would take this teacher again. Each chapter has a quiz so make sure you take all of those.

Best professor and best class I have ever had! All of the material taught can be applied to your personal life. There are nine Skill Applications (one/week), one major project, and 4 exams. Just go to class, take notes, and read the textbook. If you show that you are applying yourself, it will help you out. I highly recommend Dr. Aven!

Instructor is helpful, courteous, keeps class interesting and definitely knows material. High expectations but will provide extra points if class is working hard. Tests are two-fold: part is individual and part is group, so find hard working students to be part of your team. Respects working adult students. Read text for a solid A. Good prof!

Being the Department Chair youwould think that he is really unfair and hard but he is not. If students put the effort that is needed they can get an A but a couple of questions he gives on test are very tricky so read them carefully.

TAKE ANOTHER TEACHER!! Beware his test are extremely hard and totally situational. Even if you read all the chapters you will not do well. He also plays favorites badly!Basically he likes you and you get a good grade or he don't hence bad grade no matter how hard you try. Major grade project was a ton of work. Major GPA downfall that's if you pass.
