She is a good teacher, but she always refers to herself in the third person so that can get annoying. On the test take note in class not only from the textbook, because most of the information on the test will be from what she said in class.

Mary is the best of the best. She really knows her stuff and will make you work to get a good grade in her class, but she is like that because she cares about your success. She is great at giving good feedback and direction for how to improve. Her class is not easy, but it is worth the learning experience.

rude, insensitive, impersonal, opinionated, her way or the highway. dont take with this prof. unless you know you are going to follow her every word. most people worship her like a god. No real tests but waste of time esp if u have taken capstone. forces u to get low pay health jobs and unpaid internships. does not remember who u r after class.

Professor Brown is one of the greatest professors I've had since I started college! She is knowledgeable, carrying, respect her students, and want them to succeed! She is passionate and funny as well. She shares lots of interesting experiences in class and makes class even more interesting! I love and highly recommend her!

Mary Brown is by far the BEST professor in Public Health. She pushes you to truly understand, will help you with ANYTHING, and wants us to succeed. She gives clear instructions and is SO organized. She is hard, but we are in college people, and if you cannot handle it then do not go to college.

Mary Brown is unparalleled to any other professor you will ever have. She cares. She cares for the success of her students, and she grades accordingly; to push you. Her classes aren't for the lazy ( as it should be). Get to know her, communicate with her, and she will become your key to graduating successfully!

So Mary was just subbing one of my classes. I really love her! She was there for me and always caring, and easy so easy to understand! So nice to know that a profe actually cares and rushes to help. AWESOME, can't wait to have a class with her.

Capstone is a very time intensive course. Do not take with any other courses if you can help it. Prepare to think of it as a 6 credit course with the time it will take. However, Mary is there to help you. She's a professor who cares about each student succeeding. You feel prepared to graduate when your done! One of the best of the best!

Mary Brown is a tough grader, but she is the kind of professor that will make you a better student and person. Her lectures are awesome and very well organized. She is almost always available to talk to about assignments, which I would highly recommend doing so you get a better grade. Take any class you can with Mary!!

This is the second class I have taken from Mary and she is an excellent teacher, she is very professional, organized and passionate about community/public health. This is a group project oriented class which I personally dislike and she makes it more awkward by having your group-mates rate your performance/contribution, this is a bad practice.

Mary Brown is one of a kind haha She has very high expectations of her students, especially in the Program Planning (4140) and Implementation (4160) classes. But come one, if you're in those classes you're about to graduate, so she's prepping you for the real world. Definitely not an easy A but she's helpful if you ask and clear about expectations.

Mary is passionate about health, but she grades extremely hard. She's VERY critical of APA format and unimportant details. Everything must be absolutely perfect or you won't do well. Also, I feel she isn't clear about assignments because she wants you to mess up so you learn the hard way. Finds satisfaction in pointing out your flaws. Not an easy A

Very nitpicky about grading assignments. If its not perfect even though you should get an A- you get a C instead. One little trip is catastrophic on your grade. I was very excited to take this class after reading her positive ratings on here. I was very very wrong.

Im going to have to agree with the other negative feedback. She really does take away points from assignments without explanation. I think she might be reaching a point where she is taking out frustrations with her personal problems on students. I would not take a class from her again.

Not too impressed with this one. She does not let anybody 100%. She will always find something wrong with an assignment. If you trip once on a test you are screwed even though 90% of the class is busy work assignments. I dont like teachers that try to make class hard on people rather than making it a good learning experience. She gets an "F"

She is the best professor at UVU!! She is very clear on what she expects of you. If you go to class and put forth an effort, you will do great! Actually feels like she cares about you.

Mary was a great teacher. It isn't an easy class but the work is surprisingly worth it. Mary knows what she is talking about and you will learn a lot and will remember what you learn. I would highly recommend her. If you take this class, which you will, take it from her.
