Forrest was not shy about diving in to tough subjects, especially surrounding grief. It was honestly very refreshing to be able to discuss honestly and opening about how Christianity and pain can and do coexists. Truly amazing class.

Forrest is one of the best professors I've ever had. Although this class was super reading intensive, (it's CS Lewis, you're signing up for it) I learned so much and was left deep in thought every class. Forrest is hilarious, dedicated, incredibly knowledgeable, and he taught me so much. For sure take a class of his if you get the chance!

Outdated pedagogical strategies and uniform thinking. If you are a 50 year old Christian you will love him. If you don't agree with his view points I'd stay away.

He is such a complex thinker, he takes every student seriously (or NOT seriously, which is better), he is hilarious, knowledgeable, and he makes snacks a priority in 3-hour night classes. Who WOULDN'T love this guy?

Forrest Baird is an amazing individual. He can be a bit awkward during one on one conversations, but he is an overall really nice guy. He also really knows his stuff, especially stuff about C.S. Lewis... his knowledge is a bit uncanny. I would definitely recommend taking any classes from him. :]

Forrest and professor like him are what make Whitworth great. He is passionate about what he teaches and which makes it easier to learn. I took Logic and really struggled, but he was always willing to go over the homework with me during office hours. He also leads the most amazing Jan-term trip. Take Core 250 abroad- it will change you life!

outgoing guy, thinks he is really funny, sometimes its true, has stalker-ish knowledge of Lewis, wants you to learn and is rather helpful, loves talking about big picture and ideas and stories and gets really into them. Class good to take to get you to read the books but not really worth more than that

Probably the most fascinating mind I came across at Whitworth. Classes were hard but extremely thought provoking. They helped give me the capacity to free myself of the psychological slavery of Christianity that I grew up in and think for myself. Though I never really talked with him one on one, I have the utmost respect for him. One of the few people or profs I ever liked or respected at Whitworth college.
