"You don't have to copy all of this down...it's in the textbook." That's his one-liner. Out of the four lecturers in psych, I liked him the least. I still understood the material, but it was boring. I'm sure he's a good professor when he only teaches the class.

He's a good teacher, but sometimes i feel he's a little condescending. His lectures are pretty boring but the class itself is awesome! Make sure you do the readings and prepare for quizes every week, that makes the exams so much easier.

I wouldn't recommend this class. He hates teaching, he doesn't explain things very well, and his tests are difficult. Really boring too. You do get out early every day, but at the expense of actually learning anything.

Take rat lab from dr files! Great class! 302 is more boring but it's still a interesting course (if your can stay awake!). he's a nice guy if you get to know him... easy going and great sense of humor. I would take another class from him.

Dr. Files is a great professor if you are going into the field of Psychology and not just taking 104 for a gen ed. I had him for 104 and wasn't too fond of him; now for 207 I am finding he is awesome. His sense of humor is hilarious if you catch it too. And come on, how much fun is rat lab?!

Terrible. He usually seems depressed, like he doesn't want to be in the classroom. Didn't do the small group activities, just had us take the tests. I always skipped his lectures and went by the powerpoints on blackboard.

This is an overall hard class. Some people say it's harder than higher lever psych classes because we have to know all the basics of psych. Files is ok. During the discussion days, we just took the quiz and left-there was no discussion, which was good.

the only thing that i liked about this class was that he wouldn't keep you there the whole time and the tests were all multiple choice. he's hard to follow and he's not very easy to talk to. and on top of it too, his jokes are lame!
