Comment:
Dr. Gasparini was an exceptional professor who will be missed in the physics department as he mentioned on the last day of class that he was retiring. Material is interesting but some lectures can be very dry and confusing at times. He was very helpful outside of class though so the homework wasn't too bad however he gave sparse partial credit.

Comment:
Dr. Gasparini gave fairly helpful lectures with thorough slides and can be very helpful in office hours. The material is tough and the textbooks are only moderately useful. Unfortunately, his grading policy is very strict -- seemingly no partial credit whatsoever on exams, regardless of the error (minor or otherwise).

Great professor! Pre-exam review sessions told you everything you needed to know in a clear, concise manner.

This was the worst professor that I've ever had. Don't bother attending class because he teaches directly from the book. When the passing average for the class is 35%, you know there is something wrong with the professor, not the students.

Agreed. I can read the book myself. I stopped attending class after week 3, did the homeworks, make good crib sheets(no studying), took the tests, got a C+.
