He is the kind of professor that everyone respects because of how much he values his students. He really embodies what a professor should be likecaring, knowledgeable, and inspiring. Take him if you get the chance to get a great learning experience. However, DO NOT use any electronics in class unless youre a masochist.

Comment:

Prof. Mummery is the best lecturer anyone can take for Economics. His lectures are so clear and on point, I didn't have to use the text book at all for his exams. He gives clear guideline about the exam and sticks to it. It is important that you attend his classes because the way he explains the material in class just goes right into your memory.

If you want a professor who genuinely wants you to learn something from the course while at the same time maintain a healthy GPA, this is the professor to take. The dedication and consideration Professor Mummery put into his students' education is the epitome of a successful educator.

Comment:

Prof Mummery is one of the Greats. This is not always an easy or fun subject, but Mummery tries hard to make it simple, practical, and interesting. This Prof, always goes out of his way to answer questions and make sure everyone understands. Fair grader who makes good grades simple to EARN. HW is difficult but use assistance, & you should be fine.

Be ready to take a lot of notes, but they are super clear and what you need for the exams. Grade comes from exams and homework. Use the study guides - they are really good. Mummery is fair and gives lots of really good examples.

Be ready to write notes from the very beginning of class till the very end. He teaches it well but still the subject is challenging and the exams were pretty difficult. He offers extra credit for getting a perfect score on all of the homework so re do it until you get the highest score. Really strict on people using phones and showing up late.

He is good at explaining the material but the exams were really hard for me. We took a lot of notes but I didn't feel like there were enough examples to prep for the exams. If you don't do well on the first exam I'd recommend tutoring and seeing him during his office hours. He drops the lowest exam which is great. And do all the HW. Good Luck!

I really enjoyed this class. Prof Mummery is an amazing professor. We took a lot of notes, but they were extremely helpful for the exams. The course material isn't difficult, but you have to put in the effort to study and actually learn it. Plus, he gives great study guides so you know what to expect on the exams.

This teacher is cool. Tests are not that difficult as people explained. A good day before study will land you at least a B. Homework cushions your grade and is super easy with unlimited tries. Must come to class since everything is hand written. He gets really mad about phones which I guess is cool. Pay attention you should do fine. Basic math.

Amazing professor!! I hated Econ until I took this class.. still hate Econ but he made me hate it less good teacher and communicates information very well.. gets overly mad about cell phones but I mean its alright... tests are alright and require studying.. dont slack and although SI isntrequired it does help to go.. true and false Qs are tricky

Mummery is such a great professor that even if your IQ is -200 the class still makes sense. Doesnt mean the class is easy though. Graded material is solely based on quizzes and tests (no homework and no purchasing of textbook). Id recommend writing down everything he writes on the board and studying those notes. Do that, and you will pass.

Prof Mummery is a great professor. he teaches well and his class is fun. the most important thing i can advise you if you taking his class is, keep up with materials throughout the the semester and don't wait for exam weekend to study. he gives exam reviews but the exam review exercises he gives can be misleading if you stick to the format.

I hated Economics up until I took his class. Yes, the material is very complicated and requires a lot of effort, but his persona and enthusiasm for Economics makes you like the content. The class is tough and will require you to put in lots of effort. He provides study guides that are identical to the test so if you study ahead, you should be fine.

If you want to pass this class TAKE HIM! He's an incredible teacher and makes a really difficult class seem easy and interesting. His study guides cover every single question on the exam. Just show up to class and you will do well. He makes it hard to fail.

Great Professor. He is very passionate for econ and about helping students. Econ 315 is a tough class all around and Mummery is the best at teaching this class. You have to really try in this class because his tests are not easy. Visit him in office hours and he is always glad to help students out. He runs a strict class but he is a cool guy.

I feel I learned more with this prof in a 5 week summer class than I did with all of my other professors combined over the previous 3 years. Very caring, great examples, goes out of his way to make sure students succeed.
