This professor is both good and bad. On the bright side, he is laidback and almost always lets you out of class early. There is no midterm or final, just 3 argumentative essays. On the downside, he takes forever to put in grades for said essays and he took the course off of blackboard before I even saw what my final grade was. Most work was tedious

Participation quizzes were hard to get full credit on, so it hurt my grade a bit. No final, instead there was three essays. Couldn't seem to get higher than a B on my essays no matter how much time I spent on them. Was a cool guy though.

Nesbitt was really unorganized, didn't know what he was talking about most of the time. the study guides never matched the exams and all exams are fill in, no multiple choice. the grading criteria is rarely clear, you literally have to track him down to have him explain your grade. missed class the entire 2nd half of the semester.

Easiest class I took this semester. Every lecture is basically him trash talking trump so if you're not down for that don't take this class. very few assignments which is nice but also if you miss one deadline there's no excuses and your grade will drop hardcore. Every class was under 20 minutes like he always let us go early.

easy class. go to class because he takes attendance. there are reading quizzes online after every class but they are short and so easy you dont even have to read just skim to find the answers. there is one debate with a partner thats worth 5 points and essays that are straight forward and easy. nice guy interesting class

Nesbitt is an interesting guy, he usually let's you out of class early, is pretty clear about grading and his quizzes come directly from the reading. He doesn't have many homework assignments or essays. He seems pretty biased towards his political views but he is fair. Make sure you read every once in awhile too. Overall not a bad prof.

His class is pretty straight forward yet he sucks at communicating with the class. You have to do the readings and show up to class because there are reading quizzes almost every class. There are three essays that aren't too terrible and one debate with a partner.

This class is an easy A. You must go to class everyday, but he lets you out early every time. You have 3 big essays that aren't that hard, along with a debate and quizzes on the reading every class. He is a really easy grader.

Professor Nesbitt is a really sweet guy who teaches a supper easy but interesting class. There were readings but you just have to know the thesis and some evidence to pass the quizzes. There were 3 essays and they were all simple and graded easily too. I loved him and would definitely take it again. I feel like I learned about our society as a whol

For each class meeting you have to take a quiz from the reading you were supposed to complete before coming to class. There are only three essays. The class structure is monotonous, but I found the content to be fairly interesting. This class made me think more about the constructs of race and ethnicity.

Every time i went to office hours he wasn't there. You dont know what is do the next class meeting and he usually does not show up to class. If he shows up to class he may be grumpy and takes it out on the students and gets defensive if you ask him a question. If you have the chance to choose between him and another teacher, don't take him.

Horrible. I didn't learn anything . Had daily quizzes on the book he assigned to read for homework. One in class and ONLINE. He always messed up on the online quizzes. 3 essays, all doable but he grades hard. Never wants to help you. Never responds to emails. The only plus is that he always let us out of class early. AVOID if you want an A

Probably the absolute worst professor on the face of the planet. Never at his office hours, constantly screws with your grade as well as everyone elses, if you email him he only responds with 2 words if he even gets back to you at all. AVOID at all costs, you won't get higher than a B because he screws up on the grading scale.

One of the worst teachers I have ever had. Never learned anything. Would have 2 separate quizzes for one chapter and they were impossible to pass. He never answers his email and does not know what he is doing.

Very easy class based completely from book! Read an Issue from book before each class, take a 5 question in class test, take an 8 question online test at home (MUST HAVE READ ISSUE, all book based and a little hard). Three research papers for the semester based on your book. He is terrible about emailing you back but will help you after class.

I'm surprised everyone's complaining so much. I actually really enjoyed this professor. His tests are hard, you have to study and pay attention during lecture. But he grades on a curve and is very helpful if you ask for it. He goes through powerpoint slides fast, so it's best to type notes rather than write them.

WORSE PROFESSOR AT SDSU! I missed ONLY one paper that was worth 10 points and he gave me a D for the final course grade when I had earned an A! UNFAIR, not helpful and doesn't explain the assignments. DO NOT TAKE HIM! Very upsetting to have in the AFRAS Department :/

Not a very good teacher. His essays involve interviewing people and he grades hard. You never know what he wants from you. Not helpful, doesn't reply to e-mails. He has weekly online tests which are based on very random things from readings and lecture.
