Dr. Roecklein was an influential force in my educational journey. Roecklein was always willing to support his students both in and out of the classroom. A powerful lecturer, Roecklein provoked both deep thought and critical analysis from his students pursuant to complex subjects. He also personally aided me in my quest for admission to law school.

This guy is the best. You absolutely have to take this man for eng 015. For someone who had and still has no interest in english, I can honestly say i enjoyed this class. Very clear in his instructions, and yet you have a lot of freedom as well. He has a great sense of humor and is very open to extra help if you need it

best professor ive had yet. I had him for english 15 and i was not looking forward to this class. The topics we read were boring but he somehow made class fun to go to. He joked around and understood our modern culture. He would often relate our interests to the articles we read. funny too

He is crazy! He tells the class to read, then asks Random questions, then tells the class to be quiet. Our class would just tell him "don't tell us to read when we are answering your question about snowboarding". It was great. He has no grading scale and almost everybody gets a B+. Good if you're bad at writing. Bad if you are a good writer.

A good and challenging course. He's very serious about the class, but he'll off off in some random direction to break the monotony and it ends up being a lot of fun. The papers are rough, but after one or two, you'll figure out what he wants and from there it's easy.

This guy is really cool. He makes the time go by fast with all of his jokes and class discussion. The thing that was frustrating was that he always wanted us to answer, and if we didn't know--he didn't tell you. The papers consume large amounts of time to write, and the readings are ALL on art theory (which can get boring!). Just stay on task.

He is one of the best professors I have taken and like the other comments here, I hate english but Roecklein makes the class fun. The topics are not the most interesting, but they are not difficult to write about and if you have trouble understanding the material he takes his time to explain it. I really think everyone should take his class!

Dudes funny as hell. I didn't do any rough drafts and i skipped alot of class and I turned papers in late and still I got a C+. Do the rough drafts and turn things in on time your going to get a better grade then me. He'll mess with the tools in your class its great.
