Solid teacher. Deeply rooted in common sense. Very dry and offbeat sense of humor keeps the death by power-points somewhat interesting. Show up to class and take good notes and you will succeed. Would recommend.

This guy isn't that bad as everyone says. His tests are not that hard if u actually do the readings and look at the notes, which he puts on blackboard as well. he stutters alot but thats the only bad thing i can think of.

I took this guy way back in 2002. In hindsight, he is the best CJ teacher I had. Very tough. He expects you to know the material to be prepared for class, AND for exams. You must KNOW the cases. He teaches his class like law school, which is GREAT preparation. TAKE HIM. CJ is supposed to be challenging and he makes it just that.

Most people think he is rude and unfair, but I took him 3 times and got 3 A's. He lets you know what you need to know. You have to take good notes, thats it. Memorizing things helped me, but I felt I knew what he was going to ask before a test, he makes it clear what you need to know

Listen.. this is all you need to know, butler is fair.. if you take notes in class, those are all you need to study for the test. the readings he makes you do he goes over the important stuff in class, and that will be the only material you are responsible for.
