Comment:

Would not recommend him. He teaches nothing, he only dictates. When you do something wrong he will only tell you your wrong, he will NOT tell you how to do it correctly. He doesn't respond to emails with questions clearly if he responds at all. Seems to be bothered by them. When asked why I received partial credit, he said "email attitude".

Took both classes online. Very critical grader. Be very specific when you ask a question but you still probably wont receive a helpful answer. Very much have to kiss his butt. Wouldn't recommend taking him if you have another option.

I've taken Lagotic twice now. Not a bad class and not a bad professor. However, he is an extremely tough grader and he grades you on "teacher disposition" .. so if you accidentally have a typo in an e-mail, he grades you for it... although his quizzes are exams are FILLED with typos so it's a little hypocritical.

I took intro to education with Dr. Lagotic and passed with a B+. If you apply yourself, there's no reason why you won't pass. He gives you the opportunity to redo assignments and quizzes and updates you weekly on your current grade. I would recommend him, I'm taking him again this semester for a different course.

This teacher is a poor example of what a great teacher should be. He is teaching people how to become a teacher, yet he is a terrible one himself. Find a prof that knows how to teach, not one that uses wikipedia to teach his class. He refuses to correct his own mistakes, therefore landing you a failing grade. DO NOT TAKE HIM!

I took his online class. Lagotic is a reasonable teacher. Read everything he posts in the Lesson folder and follow the directions. It's nice that he allows quiz retakes, and he is very prompt when responding to emails. I would recommend this instructor to any Education Major.

In this class, you'll mostly be learning from Wikipedia. Literally. His powerpoints are all screenshots and links to Wikipedia. Do not email him at all, other than the intro, or he will take away points. Keep up with pre and post quizzes and save them for the midterm/final. Take advantage of resubmissions, submit everything early.

I took this class online. He gives you lots of power points to get notes from but at times his tests are on absurd amounts of informaton that I highly doubt anyone knows off the top of their heads in real life. Make sure you study, make sure you attend your volunteer hours.

Lagotic is my favorite professor at SFC. He allows you to resubmit projects and multiple chances to take the quizzes for higher grades, and provides clear instructions and examples for his assignments. The only way to not pass this class with an A is to just not try. Took him for EME2040 and EDF1005, As in both. Online green course = NO BOOK!

He is a good teacher. This is my second online class with him. 9 quizzes (one weekly), midterm, final all laid out. VERY PICKY ABOUT PROJECTS! He expects only the best. It wasn't copy and paste but more like mimicking the models exactly.

It was my first time taking an online class, and I have to say I was impressed. Dr. Lagotic was very clear about his expectations. Other postings said it's an easy A, not true. I got an A, but I had to work hard for it. Learned a lot.

No excuse not to pass! Gives you 3 times to take your test and unlimited project resubmissions. Re-turns emails promptly. I got an A and the key is to stay organized and do not procrastinate because there is a lot of work.

Overall the class was great. Very easy . Just do the work on time. Now on the other hand Mr. Lagotic is NOT understanding. He fails to encourage his students and he also fails to set a good example as far showing his students how to be an understanding teacher. Good luck wit HIM !

Comment:

Lets you resubmit project as many times as you want if it's on time. Retakes on the quizzes if done on time the first time. He is helpful if you have any questions. You don't really have to study much to pass. He uses test bank questions over and over again. Interesting class over all.

Online class, really easy if you turn everything on time. He'll let you resubmit things as many times as you want, if you turn them in on time. I didn't have any problems all semester with him, except be mindful of his grade reports sometimes he don't add the resubmits on the current report.

Take this class online! If you do everything your supposed(none of its hard) you will make an easy A. I thought he was an extremely good online teacher. Practices what he preaches.You get to turn in everything twice and his pre-quizzes are the same as his post quizzes.
