Never opened the text, no need to buy it. Easy grading policy, you cant get lower than an A-. Don't be intimidated my midterm scores, do well on the final and you are set. Just go over the problems in recitation (Russian lady reccomended) and his problems in class and u got your A.

Test are ok (midterm and final) To do well on them you must go to the recitation and do the hw. The exams are similar to the hw. The lecture is good but the recitation is better when it comes to getting ready for the exams. For the WSJ just read the ones that he mentions in class.

Tests aren't tricky. Everything is applied, there is very basic focus on the theory. Make sure you go to all recitation sessions and do the assign homeworks so you can get a good grade on the midterm / final which accounts for the major portion of the grade.WSJ can be bypassed by looking up the rate% online the day before the test (CPI, GDP, UE.)

This prof gives student a second chance on grade. For example, I fell the midterm. He told me that he won't count it if I will do good on the final. I got A-. Also, he can keep you awake in class b/c he's funny.

He is a very good teacher. All you have to do is pay attention. He gives the same questions in class on the midterm and final. The only downside is reading the wall street journal. The articles he assign WILL BE on the exams. So be sure you understand those articles to the fullest. Other than that, he is good. An easy A. Trust me on this

Easy, easy final. Tansey teaches only key points in class, everithing else just some stories and jokes. Got A, never bought the book. Still you better studdy the sample quizes that recetation techers give out, thet are word for word as final will be. If you are a nurde u can read WSJ, you will gess the curent events anyway. Take Russian recetation

strange how no one mentions the crazy WSJ questions on the exams... 2 parts to the exam, macroeconomic problems and 10-12 points of WSJ questions. the macro problems are easy cuz tansey teaches them and so does the recitation prof. the WSJ, no one tells u anything about it. you may end up guessing on the WSJ for ur 10-12 points. mostly=B+ lucky=A

He's ok and his lectures were the only thing that kept me from failing because my recitation instructor sucked big time (that's supposed to be the part where most people actually learn how to do those problems that are on the tests). So yeah, go to his lectures if you recitations instructor sucks!

hes useless. seriously, the lecture is so boring, i dont learn anything, 34% recitation, 44 final and 22 midterm. they take attendance in recitation and if ur recitation sucks, ur in bad shape!! he cant teach and speaks fast to confuse the sh!t out of you. tenured professor with no intention of even talking to you!
