I recently took one of his tests and I had no idea what I was doing. He provides a syllabus, and the assignments are on the syllabus, fine; I went to take the test and none of the information that was on the test was part of the assignments. He is very very very specific on what he wants and marks down on simple things like not having a colon.

Fred is a terrible teacher. He is quick to deem some one stupid and not worth his time if you don't already know plenty on the subject matter. He also barely personally teaches you any thing every thing you learn are from poorly done videos , every thing else is from a online course and labs.

Was not able to learn from this professor...AT ALL! Tried to ask questions only to be told to 'Not ask stupid question'. Does not really teach you and leaves it up to you to figure it out (when it is an Intro class). Will harass you if you are trying to work on other subjects. TAKE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Great teacher. One of the best I have ever encountered. He does not answer your questions directly, but instead leads you to answer your own questions by asking you further questions. Great strategy. Also will not touch your keyboard while assisting a student.... makes the student do all the work. Another great teaching tool.

He's a good guy. The course is on a cd that you take home with you, and you do work in the lab. It took a while for me to understand how the class works, but after I figured it out, no real problem.
